GBHS Kumbo VP Who Paid 3M CFA to Amba Captors Found Dead After Abduction: Mr. Yufenyuy Austin Sewoyeba who was the Vice Principal (VP) of GBHS Kumbo was found dead on Thursday morning after being kidnapped by Amba fighters on Wednesday night. According to a CNA source in Kumbo, Sewoyeba had been abducted several times over the course of the 7-year war in the Northwest and had paid ransoms for his own release totaling about 3 Million Francs CFA. It was therefore baffling when he was taken captive for the umpteenth time by the Amba boys only to be found dead the following morning. He was 54 and a father of 4. His murder has met with widespread condemnation according to our source who added that Mr. Sewoyeba was laid to rest in his native Melim, about 20 minutes' drive from Kumbo Squares.

CAMEROON FOOTBALL MOURNS AGAIN! 😭

Bamboutos' attacking maestro Patrice Ejengele is no more. The powerful striker died earlier today in Douala after battling with severe pains he suffered from a road accident some months back.

Ejengele was one of the metronomes of Bamboutos' Super Cup title win over Coton Sport of Garoua last year at Kouekong. As a matter of fact, he scored the lone goal of that encounter.

I remember running commentaries during that super cup game, and he was such a marvel to watch. Ejengele was a true leader and a stabilizer.

He died barely 4 months after another admirable and respected footballer, ISOHSA's Jöel Etoge, died in almost a similar circumstance.

Our elite football has lost a sensation!

DONTOM, WHO SANG "I DON SEE MY WIFE" 12 YEARS AFTER

The Cameroon musicscape was taken by storm in 2011, when Nigerian-born artist Dontom released "I don see my Wife" .

His follow up singles "Putu Putu" , "Marry me" and "Etiokwe" recorded enormous success in Cameroon. He later collaborated with Wax Dey on the remix of "I don see my Wife". The video was shot in South Africa by Godfather.

Dontom was a superstar in Cameroon, filling up concert venues.

Albeit hailing from Akwa-Ibom, Dontom unfortunately did not make any remarkable impact in his own country Nigeria. Rather, his music was widely accepted in Central African countries.

Where is he ?

Dontom currently resides in Europe. He is a family man. Although Dontom is no longer making hits, he is still active in music. He has released songs like "High in Amsterdam", "Celebration" and "Enjoyment".

💔 IBU'S LEG FINALLY AMPUTATED TO KEEP HIM ALIVE

The family of legendary Nigerian actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu have disclosed that one of his legs has been amput@ted to keep him alive. This was the only option after 7 surgeries.

News surfaced in October that the veteran actor was ill and needed urgent medical attention.
Amid the battle, the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation said it had covered the medical expenses of Mr Ibu, as of Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

My IBU'S family posted on Instagram;

“Good afternoon, Nigerians. We want to appreciate everyone who has come through for our dad; saying we are grateful is an understatement, and only the good Lord can thank you all enough for every help you’ve rendered. As of 1 pm, noon today, Daddy has gone through 7 successful surgeries but to keep him alive and increase his chances of recovery one of his legs had to be amput@ted.,”

“This development has been hard on us all but we’ve had to accept it as Daddy’s new reality to keep him alive.”

The family has also appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting the actor.

CLEAN SHEET FOR ANDRE ONANA, AS MANCHESTER UNITED DEFEAT FULHAM 1-0 👏

Andre Onana and his team Manchester United have secured a valuable 1-0 victory over Fulham at the Craven Cottage.
McTominay's 8th minute goal was ruled out after VAR review. Fulham retaliated with several offensive attempts, masterminded by Willian.
Manchester United proved resilience and commitment.
In extra time, Pellistri beautifully cooperated with Fernandes after a defensive blunder by Fulham around the goal box. Fernandes showed great composure by feinting past Lukic before rifling a shot into the bottom corner, to give the lead.

Andre Onana recorded two incredible saves.
Manchester United is currently 6th in the EPL table.

HUMILIATED PRESBYTERIAN PASTOR ABONG EZEKIEL SAYS HE WON'T LEAVE

On the 8th of October 2023, some christians of the Presbyterian church (Mile 14) Dibanda , predominantly CWF members disgracefully drove Pastor Abong Ezekiel from the church premises.

Some irritated faithfuls of the congregation are fed up with the Pastor's poor management and inappropriate behavior, claiming that pastor Ezekiel has been insulting them in a filthy and derogatory manner. Insults like "smelling shush" , dotty money for njama njama, empty bobi etc could be heard from the protesting women.

Pastor Ezekiel, who has been at the helm of the congregation for 5 years (since 2018) says he will not leave until a decision comes from the synod office. He is 60 years old, which means he still has 5 years before retirement.

According to the pastor, the elders of the church want him to share money for Thanksgiving with them, which is against his moral principles.
They also want to precipitate a congregational meeting, slated for December to be held immediately.

The Pastor told them he cannot share money for the central coffers with elders.
The Pastor said he does not interact with the members of the congregation; he does not hang out with them to drink.

Contrary to the accusations hurled at him in a viral video, he has come out to vindicate himself.

Pastor Ezekiel says he did not insult the christians. He said maybe in the course of the sermon, he may have said things that touched people personally, which they considered insults.

He said the Pastoral house he lives in was not built by the christians. He stated that he obtained a loan of 10 million from PESH (Presbyterian church Micro Finance)

Born in Yaounde, Stephane Mbia has a well-accomplised career playing for clubs like Rennes, Marseille,Toulouse and Sevilla.

US Based Ambazonian Kingpin, Eric Tataw under surveillance, fires “Detractors”

Eric Tataw Tano, a Cameroonian born US based Ambazonian activist has challenged his detractors to a legal battle over allegations that, he has been acquiring money and wealth from sources linked to the ongoing crisis in the Anglophone regions in Cameroon. In a recent statement circulated on social media, the CEO of DIMPPLES who recently regained freedom from a US Court few weeks ago says, he has rather been contributing financially to assist the humanitarian efforts of victims in the crisis.

Mr Tataw says, those against him are making empty allegations and gossiping in bars and quarters and challenges them to forward receipts of contributions to the FBI now that he’s officially under investigation. He discards all allegations on him as as fake. “Others claim he was bribed by the Cameroon government. This is also money laundering. This is also the time because any money given in cash can still be traced by the FBI through accessing sources of investments. Regarding our CEO’s witness tampering charge and PPP, our team will only allow Eric Tataw’s legal team to comment”. a part of the October 1st 2023 message from DIMMPLES Group reads.

Eric Tataw has been under strict surveillance from a court in Maryland against charges of laundering up to about 90 Million Frs CFA from the US Government during the Covid 19 era under the Paycheck Protection Program. He was however released in September 2023 while investigations continue. Eric has continued business from where he stopped in his multimillion car rental Company DIMMPLES.
When news of his arrest and detention first reached his homeland Cameroon, many especially Government officials had offered thanks to the American Government with hopes he will be indicted for his contributions in the ongoing imbroglio in the troubled regions. The embattled activist had earned himself a name “Garri Master” which represents his modus operandi, calling for armed fighters to cut off the hands of teachers and children who attempt to pursue education in “Ambazonia.

Till date, all efforts by the Cameroonian Government to implicate Tataw and others, and to extradict them to Cameroon have remained futile. So far, no one has challenged Tataw for haven received a dime relating to the ongoing Ambazonian war that has killed thousands of innocent persons. He still says, he remains an activist for Ambazonian.
