🚨 YAOUNDÉ: Woman Arrested for Baby Theft and Attempted Poisoning

Essang Edang Nasarine, 26, was arrested and presented to the public on June 11, 2025, at Yaoundé Central Police Station No.1. She faces serious charges of stealing a baby and attempting to poison the child’s mother.

Investigations reveal that on May 8, 2025, at Mvan bus station, Nasarine allegedly gave the mother a bean bread containing a toxic substance called “Arata.” After the mother consumed the poisoned food, Nasarine took the 4-month-old baby without permission.

The arrest was made possible through a police operation led by Divisional Commissioner Thierry Medou. Authorities are still investigating the case to uncover more details.

This case serves as a warning to stay alert and vigilant in our communities.
