We are celebrating with the cast and crew of Half Heaven today for getting picked by the Cameroon Oscar's Viewing Committee as The Cameroon Film Industry CFI submission for the International Feature Film category for the 2024 Oscar’s.

The Cameroon Film Industry CFI met with some senators and members of the Canadian Government in Yaounde. The Canadian Senator. Rene Cormier met stakeholders of the Cameroon film industry, encouraging members of CFI to consider Canada as a partner, and Canada is open for future collaborations. The Vice Board Chairman Mr Billybob Ndive Lifongo was the leader of the delegation.

RULE FIFTEEN SPECIAL RULES FOR THE INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM AWARD AT THE OSCAR’S.

I. DEFINITION
An international film is defined as a feature-length motion picture (over 40 minutes) produced outside the United States of America and its territories with a predominantly (more than 50%) non-English dialogue track. Animated and documentary feature films are permitted.

Welcome everybody,
Created in 2008, the Cameroon Film Industry (CFI) organization is a professional and apolitical association which seeks to bring together all stakeholders of filmmaking in Cameroon irrespective of language, ethnicity or religious denomination with the objective of promoting professionalism among filmmakers, scouting for more partners and sponsors, working with the Cameroon government to improve on cultural policy for the arts, opening up more marketing and distribution channels as well as regulating film activities in the country.
It is made up of six professional guilds - the producers, directors, actors, technicians and writers’ guilds respectively. These six guilds represent the major disciplines into which major stakeholders of filmmaking are categorized in the CFI. Each of the six guilds of the CFI has a national president as well as branch presidents in major towns of the country. Some of the guilds also have branches in the Diaspora in countries with impressive numbers of Cameroonian filmmakers.
