Adrian Scand aka MUESTIK is an institution in the Swiss Psy Trance Scene, spreading inspiration and the love of music through ever-new events and musical projects since more than two decades. After enjoying life on the dancing side of the decks for several years, and growing a respectable collection of CDs and Vinyl, the interest in mixing psychedelic trance tunes himself grew stronger each day. y 1998, the longing finally turned into action, and Adi started DJing under the name MUESTIK (meaning "mysticism"). In 2002, he joined the well known label "Shiva Space Technology Records". In 2003, when the internet was still in its infancy, Adi founded the first online meeting point for Swiss Psytrance heads called Mystical Forum Switzerland (www.mysticalforum.ch). Before Facebook and consorts even came to life, Adi established a web forum that enabled event news and private chats among likeminded people. To this day, connoisseurs see him as one of the true pioneers of the swiss psytrance scene and accredit Adi major influence on how well this scene was able to develop all over Switzerland. Since Summer 2009, Adi is part of the label “Spin Twist Records” where he is the main man for graphic designs as well as promoting the label artists' music when mixing their tracks into his sets. For Spintwist, Adi plays progressive trance and offbeat under the name AKUSTIK. This collaboration marked the start of Adi being booked globally. He has already played in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, France, Norway, UK, Italy, India and Thailand, to just name a few. Also in 2009, the vision of a big indoor gathering for the psytrance community started to grow through discussions on the Mystical Forum, and finally, the Mystica Event (www.mystica.li) was born. After nine super successful years as the biggest and best-produced event of the swiss psytrance scene, the Mystica Event won the official Swiss Night Life Award for "The Best Event" in 2018, leaving the musically way more mainstream opponents far behind. Three years after his first gig at Fusion, Adi caught the techno and tech house fever and so his third act RAUSCHKRAFT was born in 2011. Today, Adi still loves to mix; be it progressive trance and offbeat as AKUSTIK for Spintwist Records, psytrance as MUESTIK for Mystica Event Records, or techno and techhouse as RAUSCHKRAFT for Villabond Zürich Records. Besides playing, Adi spends most of his time either doing graphic designs for events in or artists from the psytrance scene and planning future parties for the still-running Mystica Event in Zürich (which is currently on hold until the pandemic is over) as well as for "The Flying Mystic" (www.theflyingmystic.ch), an event collaboration of Adi's Mystica Event and a team of friends from Bern, called "Flying Circus". Together, they create hip psytrance events in Bern and the surrounding area since 2016. In 2020, they organized the "Psy Lake Festival", which was, despite the pandemic, successfully repeated in 2021.
