AS 230 is finally out. Sorry for the little delay, I was surfing the waves of the previous thematic issue focusing on... water...AS 229 “H2O”. Joke aside it was pretty intense and I try not to stress to much.
Good work needs time no?

AS 229 “H20” is out of press. This year our thematic issue focuses on our vital ressource, water, and its interaction with architecture. It is a complete and critical issue, inviting you and us to reflect on the responsible, functional and therapeutic use of this scarce resource. But also on its aesthetic, its force and influence on architecture.

Discover profiles on engaged artists and designers to protect, worship and value water in compelling ways. Explore also a selection of projects in Switzerland and abroad connected to the water.

AS 228 is out of press ready to arrive on your desks dear AS community ! This new edition with a beautiful cover by is dedicated to all fantastic women in architecture. The list is endless and would make up for a whole book series. For now, we honour a selection of women who has shaped or inspired AS and/or the current architecture landscape in Switzerland. 💡AS 227 NEW ISSUE out now 🎉

We are delighted to start the year with AS 227, our first issue of 2023, presenting this time 13 projects in Switzerland as well as a project in Germany and another in Italy. We showcase the Swiss architectural award 2022, organized by la Fondazione Teatro dell’architettura Mendrisio and awarded this year to the remarkable Chinese architect Xi Tiantian (Dna Design and Architecture).
We invited two of the past years winners to share their thoughts: Elisa Valero from Spain (2017-2018) about her view on the Swiss architectural landscape and Stephanie Bru form Bruther architects from France about this year winning projects.
It is with great joy to publish this years issues with 4 artworks of Geneva based artist Marie Velardi

AS 226 “Diary of India” is out of press! Our third issue of the year celebrating our 50th anniversary. To end 2022 on a high note and start 2023 with amazing people, colour, architecture and photography we have decided to travel to India. So many collaborations and interactions between our two countries. As usual some articles are in open access on our website and the full issue is translated in english.

Dear insta-archi-creative-industrial-engineer-friends, since 1972 we published thousands of young architects. In 2017 we finally created the label “AS Young “ for them.
During this special time where we should all stay at home and hence have the time to read, work slower and maybe create faster - we decided to offer the last 10 AS Young projects for free to all of you to read ( text in French and German). Those projects represent a small part of the many Swiss talents around. Those talents we chose forged their vision of architecture also thanks to their travels, student exchanges, global collaborations etc. We sincerely hope that this interaction, more virtual now, will continue and help create the new architecture of tomorrow. From Switzerland to the world and vice versa! Special thanks to .degibert for creating the layout of the projects and to the entire AS team and committee, the photographers, the printing house and obviously the young architects and creators of the projects.
