THE BLACK SPIDER is an adaptation of Jeremias Gotthelf's world-famous novella and is set in Sumiswald in the 13th century Emmental. 🎬
The courageous young midwife Christine makes a pact with the devil to free her village from the brutal terror of the Teutonic Knights.👹
When Satan demands his agreed wage and doesn't get it, he punishes the village with a plague of spiders.... Christine becomes the scapegoat and thus the hunted!🕸🕷

Bald, bald…

Nach sieben Staffeln war für die SRF-Krimiserie «Der Bestatter» Schluss. Das Schweizer Fernsehen hatte die Serie begraben. Doch der Publikumswunsch war gemäss Kultur-Chefin Susanne Wille so gross, dass die Serie mit Mike Müller in der Hauptrolle nun als Kinofilm nochmals zum Leben erweckt wird.
