I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share something close to my heart that you might not be aware of. Los Angeles was a city deeply cherished by Caterina, holding a special place in her heart. Many of her closest friends, both personally and professionally, called LA home. Although I won't list them all, they were numerous and belonged to her generation.
On a personal note, I still have dear friends in LA who thankfully are doing okay. Recently, from here in Switzerland, I watched the FireAid Concert online. It was an emotional experience; some performances brought tears to my eyes—particularly those by Pink and Sting.
LA has been an integral part of my life and my family's life for many years. In support of the community and wildlife affected by recent events in California, I've contributed to various organizations working on the ground there.
However, it's crucial to remember that many other catastrophes around the world are also causing immense suffering. In memory of Caterina, donations have been made to SOS Children's Villages as well. It's urgent that we come together as people and work beyond political divides during these trying times.
