Being a polyglot is funny. Some days I switch between four languages without thinking, and other days I can’t even stick to one. Your brain mixes them all together like a smoothie. It’s confusing, but it’s also the beauty of speaking several languages… your world gets bigger, even if your sentences get chaotic.

Hello December 🤩🎅🎄✨🥂

Crazy how fast a year disappears. I blinked and suddenly it’s December again. Maybe it’s because the sun sets early here and the days feel shorter, or maybe it’s because Dubai doesn’t really have seasons. No changing leaves, no cold breeze, no shift in colors. Everything stays the same… except time. And somehow, it slips away even quicker.

I’m not really homesick, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss my family and friends. Especially now, with the festive season starting, there’s a soft nostalgia that kicks in. Christmas markets, last-minute gift shopping, long dinners with the people you love, and that feeling of sitting in a mountain chalet with fondue while it snows outside… that’s the kind of warmth you never forget.

Still, Dubai has this beautiful way of making every expat feel at home. The decorations, the energy, the mix of cultures… it’s different, but it holds its own kind of magic.

I’m honestly grateful to live here, surrounded by so many nationalities, learning from everyone, and feeling part of a place that celebrates traditions from all over the world.
