Open Science is reshaping the research landscape, promoting transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration. By removing barriers to access and fostering knowledge exchange, this movement accelerates progress towards addressing global challenges like climate change and biodiversity loss.

However, to achieve a sustainable and resilient future, we must first cultivate a culture of openness and interdisciplinary cooperation. Open Access publishers, like MDPI, play a vital role in making scientific findings widely accessible, ensuring critical insights are available to all.

Discover more about how Open Science enhances global sustainability in this viewpoint by Prof. Dr. Irene Petrosillo and Dr. Ronald C. Estoque, Section Editors in Chief of Sustainability MDPI at https://brnw.ch/21wPezz
