I tried to keep my face blank, holding back the sting of it all. I started gathering my things and loading them into my car.

Four years have passed since my husband disappeared without a trace. He set out on a solo hike in the mountains, and no one has seen him since. Those years were incredibly hard for me and our two kids. Over time, we adjusted to life without him, even though we still think about him a lot.

Then, one day out of nowhere, something crazy happened. I was lying on a blanket in our backyard when my husband's dog (whom I haven't seen for four years because he disappeared with my husband) ran into our yard — with my husband's jacket in its mouth. The very same jacket he'd worn on that hike!

I tried to get closer to the dog, but it took off running. I followed, running for about 20 minutes until we ended up in the woods not far from our neighborhood.

I kept chasing the dog until I couldn't run anymore and suddenly came across an old cabin hidden in the forest. I slowly walked up to it and finally worked up the nerve to open the door. ⬇️🌚❄️⛈️

JOKE OF THE DAY: A truck driver walks into a cafe on the Hume Highway with a full-grown emu behind him.

The waitress asks for his order.

The truckie says, "I'll have a hamburger, chips and a coffee." He turns to the emu, "What about you?"

"Sounds good to me, I'll have the same," the emu replies.

The waitress returns with their orders. "That'll be $10.50 please." The truckie reaches into his pocket, pulls out the exact change and pays her.

The next day, the truckie and the emu return. He repeats his order, "A hamburger, chips and a coffee, please." The emu repeats, "Sounds good. Same for me, please."

Once more, the truckie reaches into his pocket and produces the exact amount.

This is their routine for a couple of days. One night, the two enter again.

"I guess you'll have the usual?" asks the waitress.

"No, it's Friday night. I'll have a steak, baked potatoes and a salad," says the truckie. "Sounds great, same for me, too," says the emu.

The waitress brings the order and says, "That will be $32.65."

Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.

The waitress can't hold back her curiosity any longer. "You’ve really got me there, mate. How do you manage to always have the exact change every time?" ⬇️ 💗🌜⚡️

It was a real nightmare. Bob's wife passed away four days ago during childbirth. He was holding his newborn daughter, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that his Mary was gone — that she never even got to meet their baby girl. All he wanted was to get back home.

"Is this your child sir?" the woman on the boarding gate asked him.

"Of course she is. She's four days old. Now can I get through?" Bob said, irritated.

"I'm sorry sir, but you can't go, she's too little," the woman said sternly.

"What's this?!" Bob asked angrily. "Are you saying I have to remain here?! I have no family here to stay with. I just lost my wife! I must get home today!"

"It's the policy, sir," the woman said, turning to the next person in line.

Bob had no words. It would take him quite some time to obtain correct documents to let his child through. And... He also had nowhere to go in Florida, no one to ask for help. He was utterly alone.

Bob was ready to spend the night at the airport with his little baby girl in his arms, but then... he remembered the only person in the whole world who could help.
