Yesterday, on August 15, 2024, I had a virtual meeting, organized by BRGIE lobbyists, with the office of Congressman Keith Self (R-TX), a member of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee. We had a fruitful discussion with the Congressman's team about the accomplishments of the BRGIE, issues pertaining to the Nigerian government, regional dynamics, as well as Texas' significant Biafran-American diaspora. In addition, myself and the BRGIE lobbying firm discussed the December 2ndFinland convention, and our desire for the U.S. Congressional support for this event. Many areas of collaboration and specific action items for the coming months were delineated.

We look forward to continued engagement with the U.S. Congress, and other influential stakeholders, through our historic lobbying efforts.
