Notes: J. Cole had some of the best rapping of his career but listening back after the battle it didn’t hit the same for ME - if it did for you I also understand. And Cole is one of my favorite artists ever.

Future & Metro was a super impactful album this year but I also PERSONALLY didn’t go back to it much besides like that.

Also honorable mention for me was Big Sean - Better Me Than You. Even tho it wasn’t my favorite Sean album ever it holds a special place in my heart based on the events of this year and the space I was in.

I think Kendrick wants #1 spot and now we’re going to see who wants to defend it. I don’t think Kendrick was dissing at all, but I think he’s talking like he wants the throne and doesn’t care who he has to take down to get it. I love rap and I love hip hop!!!! But let me just mind my business and eat my veggies 🥦

That Monster freestyle was Kendrick’s original control verse btw if anybody hasn’t seen it go watch how hungry the kid from Compton was for the throne way before he was even in the league.

Sometimes it’s hard to explain how surreal life is but to have moments like this captured speak louder than anything I could say. Listening to unreleased snoop and Dre with some of my media heroes is one of those lifetime moments that I’ll never forget. Thank you Snoop, thank you God and in his words, thank you to me!! lol

To me watching Sway and Elliott do interviews was always my bar. That’s what inspired me to want to have conversations with artists and Tracy showed me you can bring a level of philosophy and spirituality into the interviews. To get the motivation that I’m doing the right things from them is more important validation for me than any amount of likes or views.

Got the chance to moderate a conversation with at for interview series. Was a pleasure to help tell this story to a group of entrepreneurs all looking to uplift each other. This was definitely a different experience doing an interview live in front of an intimate crowd but looking forward to doing more! Thanks for the opportunity

I always wanted my own talk show so I had to create one! Sometimes your dreams start to take motion when you put action behind them (pause lol). I always dreamed of being seated across from artists talking about their lyrics, so last year when I had the idea for a show called “In Their Own Words” where I would ask artists about specific lyrics (funny & deep) with heavy research, a group of people who believed in the vision continued to help bring it to reality. We had no budget and no real set so we made one and turned it into a reality. With 7 episodes shot and no sponsor we decided to release episode 1 in honor of new album.
