🚸✨ Campbell River Steps Up Pedestrian Safety with Flashing Crosswalk Beacons! 🚦🚶‍♀️

We’re excited to see Campbell River taking strides to make walking safer and more accessible with the installation of four new flashing crosswalk beacons throughout the city!

Here’s where you’ll find these safety upgrades:
📍 ERT Road and Maple Street
📍 ERT Road and Evergreen Road
📍 Highway 19A and Dahl Road
📍 Highway 19A and Twillingate Road (coming soon, pending pavement markers)

These rapid rectangular flashing beacons are triggered by pedestrians pressing a button, warning oncoming vehicles to stop. As Melissa Heidema, the city’s transportation specialist, notes:
“Improving crosswalks encourages walking, improves safety, and promotes healthy lifestyles and community.”

ICBC contributed $26,800 toward this important initiative, demonstrating the power of partnerships in creating safer streets for everyone.

Imagine waking up to this view... I can almost smell the ocean breeze

My process for capturing real estate shots like this involves meticulous editing to bring out the natural beauty of the scene. Balancing even light inside and keeping the light outside evenly exposed is a process by capturing multiple exposures and merging into one photo through photoshop and light room. This photo took 6 shots to merge into one.

Stargazing from home - Captured the unique angles of this beautiful house with my DSLR and a Canon 15-35mm wide lens. For these shots, I zoomed in to about 24mm to keep the lines straight and avoid any curves along the sides.
