The magic of the evening light can truly transform a scene. This lake, surrounded by cloudy skies, takes on a whole new character as the sun sets. Tried to capture the lone bench weathering everything that is thrown at it and is sheltered under a grand tree.. With the wind blowing away the fallen leaves reminds us that the cycle of life is the only constant in this World.

We always passed by this building in Downtown Vancouver but captured it for the first time. The building is owned by the Holborn Group and once was the Dunsmuir Hotel but has been vacant since few years. This building was also rented by BC Housing to use it as a shelter and prior to that also used to be a hostel for International students. After the residents were moved to a shelter by BC Housing, the building remained vacant with the hope that the Holborn Group is working on it’s development as 500 Dunsmuir St is a large plot of land in a prime area.

Our age old obsession with the railways continues to remain strong even in this modern era of transport. My fascination with the railways started from when I was a child and I still remember waiting by the tracks to feel the wind and the vibration generated by the locomotive passing by swiftly. Tried to capture a piece of the long CP railroad which once upon a time connected the west and east for the first time.
