Barnacle Babes

Barnacle Babes is a digital and print magazine, a web-series (that we’ve just put on hold temporarily), Warrior Women of the Sea Conferences and destination retreats. Produced by Barnacle Babe Productions, the focus of the magazine, conferences and retreats, will be to create a platform for women who share a passionate relationship with the sea. It will allow a community of women to share their vi

sions for the oceans future and their passion for their chosen sea related sport, vocation or conservation effort. We will be covering all ocean sports such as: scuba diving, surfing, wind/kite surfing, sailing, paddling, power-boating, fishing and more. We share stories from underwater photographers, professional mermaids, and marine biologists, as well, ocean conservationists. It’s all about the women out there, leading the way in their field in what they do, as it pertains to the ocean. What draws women to the water? Why are more women today taking up the more "traditional" water sports, activities and vocations of men? And, "How" we can protect her? How can we come together as Warrior Women of the Sea and make sure her future (and ours) is secured. We need to bring back the “feminine energy” for fighting for the ocean. We need momma bears out there protecting her! Barnacle Babes is also a social community platform that is interactive, engaging, purposeful, actionable and supportive. Both the YouTube Channel and magazine are dedicated to bringing an engaging series showcasing women who are making a difference in their sport, their cause and the lives of others.
