Some fantastic projects coming together this year!

This week the Nashville build is wrapping up, while Australia is heading toward an end of month completion. With floor plans done for the Mexico and North Carolina projects, we'll move forward on 3D renders for each plus building design details for NC.

Large 32"x32" corner bass traps with a slat sequence operating in the 2700-9khz range... and some interesting design details inside. Without question, the most effective & best looking corner traps I've ever designed, built, or seen to date.

A freestanding modular studio design is a great solution when clients need something non-permanent which can be moved to a new location. As always, how they look and SOUND in the end relies on a careful balance of compromises and well thought out design. Dimmers and RGB lighting allow the white fabric to be dialed into whatever vibe the engineer is feeling at any given time.

Flush mounting speakers in an absorptive front wall is the next best option to a well designed hard wall flush mount. In certain circumstances (depending on the room, speakers, and other factors) it's a great approach. Steve needed his room designed in a flexible modular format that could be moved and adjusted to fit in a different space. The studio is now in its 3rd location since the original build!

Project: Tom Nemesis / STORM HQ

Focal Twins are normally known for having a more mid-forward sound. A well designed flush mounted installation is an absolute game changer for their low frequency response and headroom, allowing the LF trim to be dropped around 3db for more headroom and lower distortion.
In this configuration, they remain Storm's top choice of studio monitors under $6k.

Out of view, mass loaded & sorbothane decoupled speaker mounts isolate the speakers from the wall surface.

A modular room design for a rental space with several limitations. This room was only in use a couple years, but served well in the interim before planning started on a larger scale build in a long term location.

Massive speaker stands with sand filled columns and sorbothane decoupled mounts for a flush mounted wall installation. Focal Twins are normally known for having a more mid-forward sound. A flexible modular room design for temporary spaces. This one features speaker stand bass traps, plus some low frequency tuning adjustment with the front corner modules. Deep multi-layered rear wall modules handle low frequency control in the back of the room. One of the most affordable, flexible, easy to build, yet great sounding room designs Storm has done.

Throwback: 2018 - Temporary flush mount with these Dynaudio Pro BM12's, which would eventually be replaced with large Neumann KH-420 3-Way monitors a few years later. Designed and built with the future upgrade in mind!
