Gelo Granados

Gelo began his music career in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, joining a wave of emerging talent born from that unique time. A Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter based in Burnaby, Gelo is dedicated to creating original songs that reflect his personal experiences and artistic vision. With three singles available on all major platforms, his music continues to gain traction. In addition to his solo work, Gelo is also the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for his own band, further showcasing his musical talents and passion for performance.

He will be performing as one of the front acts for TJ Monterde's Sariling Mundo concert here in Vancouver. November 2, 2024

Angelo Granados is the youngest of four siblings. He was born in Tacloban City Philippines. When he was 11 years old, he was fascinated with music. Drawing inspiration from the Filipino band Rivermaya caught his attention with their psychedelic rhythm and soulful lyrics. With his interest, he then asked his mom to get a guitar and taught himself how to play.

By the age of 14, his family decided to move to Vancouver Canada for a chance at a better life. The first chapter of his life had ended, but a new one was about to begin. Transitioning to a new country has never been easy. Going through high school making new friends trying to fit in and finding his place in this new society.
