Picked up this petite sweet pea bouquet at the farmers market the scent is amazing but the paper they wrapped it in Wowsa!! I made such a deal about using this gorgeous paper in a journal they gave me fresh piece - I think to shut me up and move me along.

Wandering around a new Dollarama I found these cool papers. Yeah they are for wrapping food but they would be fun in a paper project. The cheese paper came with sweet stickers too.

I bought a huge box of old player piano rolls at an auction - wasn’t sure how I would reuse them. Until I was making this journal and thought the business end of the roll would make a fabulously unique page.. cheers to creating 🥂

One of my most favorite and weirdest dust cleaners … I use this stuff everywhere .. any little spot that is impossible to get the dust out of I bring this out. Yesterday I used it for removing the bits of dust stuck in the crevasses of my vintage cash register. It’s like magic.

Sometimes I struggle when making journal pages to leave actual room to write. I just want to dress up every page. My collection of ephemera seems to be growing by the day. Most of the pieces I want to use aren’t plain but I guess that why adding pockets makes sense - more prettiness.

Found a vintage music book at a thrift shop used a page from it to make a pocket to hold these love postcards well except for the last postcard .. sadly it’s a break up postcard - he asks if her “heart is shut?” she replied “my heart shut” awwwwww. I guess this was the way they texted in 1910. Cheers to creating 🥂.

The thing about junk journaling I love the most is that anything goes. The belly band ribbon was wrapped around a blanket I bought years ago - it was such a beautiful antique rose color and quite thick. I just had to keep it. It worked perfectly here. Cheers to creating 🥂.

My latest journaling gadget .. a vintage Burroughs adding machine/cash register.. looks as though it’s in fantastic shape just needs a new black typewriter ribbon. Can’t wait to get this beauty cleaned up and printing. I’ll be adding lots of numbers and sums to my bits for journal pages and tags.. ohhh and It has the best ding when the drawer opens. Finally a day to myself … ohhh so exciting - I’ll be up-cycling some old shirts and pjs into journal covers. So I’m cutting off the bits I want to keep for upcoming projects. Love worn flannel it’s so warm and cozy. Yep can’t wait for fall. Cheers to creating 🥂.

Seems like I’ve been organizing for months… ohhhh right I have. So in keeping with putting things in their spot I’ve been cutting for hours.. thankfully I do love cutting I find it soothing too bad my scissor hand doesn’t agree.. you can find these sweets bits in my shop. Cheers to creating 🥂.
