Endlessly lucky that I was chosen to bring 's vision to life for her hard-hitting track, "Death Wish" featuring the legend, for ! It’s a story I am honoured to be a part of. �

Shout out to an absolute legendary Ontario team who put in the work to make my ambitious script a reality and to who made all the firefighting magic happen that made this production truly look like a million bucks. There's no reason a Saskatchewan director like myself should be getting to work on these cool projects, but here we are!��

This project was a big one for me. Travelling to Ontario to shoot a dreamy one-take music video that interchanges four different frame rates that all make a seamless loop was a project I've been dreaming up for a long time, and who else would give me this kind of creative freedom, but my incredible friends, . You guys have endlessly done things differently and I am so lucky I've been brought on that ride six times. Shoutout to & and their respective genius' @1980.wav & for giving me this opportunity. You don't know what it means to a small filmmaker in Saskatchewan to see their work put out through your labels and to be even given the chance to create things at this capacity.

And finally, the hugest thank you to the hugest crew I've ever had the pleasure of working beside. Working with the Ontario film community was a bucket list moment for me. You're also so incredibly talented and I am honoured to have worked alongside you. Thank you.

Could be a small town church, could be a larger cathedral, could even be abandoned.

Looking for stained glass, old wood, something that feels transportive as a space for a music video with a sense of lingering spirituality.

Happy One Year to the true genius behind Versa Films, Taegan O'Bertos.

Taegan, you are a true artist and I feel so honoured I get to work by your side everyday.

For those of you who don’t know, Taegan is one of the most sought after art directors in Saskatchewan and has worked on endless productions in theatre over the last ten years but has made the move to video production with Versa Films. She has helped realize full sets, wardrobe, props, locations, schedules, miniatures, character designs and has even played a monster in one of our upcoming projects. I threw her into the deep end as soon as she joined, it was so obvious we were a perfect match to work together. She’s exceeded every expectation I have had and despite taking on way more than one person should be able to handle, she does it on time, on budget and with the best attitude I’ve ever seen.

Thank you for being part of what makes film so special. I adore you and Happy One Year of working together. 🤘🏻

Hey everyone! Fun update. We are currently working on something special for my big film project, Our Last Day As Kids.

On August 28th, we’re filming a small concert scene in Saskatoon between 1:30pm and 5:00pm and we’re looking for show-goer extras to create a scene that depicts a mid2000s metalcore/emo show.

If you’re at all interested, please email us at [email protected] with confirmation, name and ideally a photo so our team knows who to expect.

If you can dress the part, even better! Think 2006-2008. Also the more the merrier so if you have friends who’d be a good fit, let them know!

[CLERK] ANY AGE, DAY PLAYER (1): An annoyed convenience store clerk.

[CUSTOMERS] AGED 20-60, EXTRAS (3-4): Customers in line during an argument or perusing the aisles.

[SHOWGOERS] AGED 16-35, EXTRAS (20+): Concert goers for a emo/metalcore show. (Tattoos, coloured hair, mid2000s inspired looks a bonus.)

Today is an exciting day for our project!

Working on this project has been a daunting challenge over the last 12 months. What I thought would be a simple short film we could shoot over the summer, has expanded into something much larger. With a year of additional work, incredible new team members and additional investment, we are now able to pursue the micro budget feature film version of our story. This is the story I hoped I could eventually tell. What’s even more exciting is that our initial casting call for our main characters is LIVE. A week ago we released "Between Death & Dreams" with BRAND OF SACRIFICE. The project has already been seen by 85 000 people, received hundreds of comments and a bunch of reaction videos.

This is one of my favourite songs I've ever worked with and getting to make projects like this for a living with an incredible team of artists is a dream come true.

Last night we were recognized for our work in Music Video Production by SaskMusic at the annual Saskatchewan Music Awards.

I feel extremely grateful and privileged that I've been able to turn a passion in music and film into my livelihood in a province where that is almost impossible. I am lucky that musicians from across North America put trust in me and even more so I am lucky that I have a team of relentless artists and friends that get behind me time and time again to turn ambitious ideas into reality.

And of course, I am most lucky to have my wife Brittney Unrau by my side at all times, who guides me through self doubt and personal struggles, all in the pursuit of what could be deemed, "just a video" without batting an eye but instead with complete understanding. You're the true reason I can keep doing this over and over again.

I am so lucky to be working in an industry filled with such talented musicians and filmmakers, and I only feel more hopeful about our industry as the years go by.

Thank you so much. It is an honour to be seen.

We are extremely honoured to be recognized by Sask Filmpool at the SIFA - Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards for our work with Halocene on "Repent." We had an incredible cast & crew on this one and it was such a privilege to tell this story. Shoutout to our very own Elaine Striemer for nabbing a Best Performance nomination as well.

I also want to shoutout my friends who are nominated for Best Short Film for The Druid's Hand that I was lucky to work on. Crazy enough, they gave us a nomination for Best Technical Achievement for the cinematography I did for the film.

So grateful to be included and among such talented filmmakers.

Today we launch the second minimalist project with Parkland is a band. This is one of the only One-Take videos we've ever done and it's been so creatively fulfilling to explore simplicity in such a fresh way for the Versa team.

This video may seem super simple on it's surface, but it took a lot of tinkering to get right, and has been a concept I've been holding in the back of my mind for 5 years for the right song and artist. Today it is finally realized.
