🛑 In recent surveys it is estimated that as much as 55% of social media users are feeling worn out by the amount of political posts they find online.

3️⃣ With the US election set for 3 weeks from tomorrow the amount of political posts online will become more intense.

👍 Remembering that just over half of the people you will meet online are tired of politics should help you to respond with respect when others hold a different opinion from yours.

✅ It takes hard work to build an audience and only a second for a follower to hit the unfollow/unsubscribe/unfriend button.

🤜 Be a beacon for others with your conduct.

Did you know that 61% of young people and 33% of adults experience loneliness on a regular basis!

👉 In today’s fast paced environment it is easy to lose focus on what is important in life.

🖐️ As a husband, father of 4 and a business owner I know this first hand. There are many demands on you especially during the work week. Most people have extra time on the weekends, and this is where you can make a difference.

👍 Be sure to prioritize time on your weekends to:

✅ Take a break with a good book, movie or sporting event.
✅ Work on your physical health with a workout, long walk or hike.
✅ Spend time cultivating relationships with family and friends over a meal.
✅ Work on your mental health in prayer or meditation.
✅ Focus on your spiritual life by attending a church service.

💪 All of these things can be done with someone else allowing you to help others from becoming lonely or in their current state of loneliness (most won’t tell you they are lonely).

☀️ By actively scheduling time in your calendar for yourself and others you will protect yourself from becoming lonely and instead be a ray of sunshine for others.

Are you looking for more followers? Well stop trying to attract followers, and focus instead on disciples.

Followers do not engage with your content, like it, share it, put it on their story, leave a comment or save it. They are happy just to keep an eye on your feed. That’s it, that’s all.

If you want to take your followers to the next level, find connections that are active. They have already demonstrated action in liking or engaging in other posts. Once you have found them, interact with their content first, they will likely reciprocate back to you and are then more likely to follow you.

🎙️ Why start a podcast today, no one listens to them?

(That’s what we said too until we looked into the numbers!)

Not only is the general population much more aware of podcasts but the listening audience is growing exponentially.

✅ The listening audience for podcasts in the United States is expected to surpass 100 million listeners this year.

👉 The next evolution of podcasts is when listeners begin to search for companies, brands or leaders on podcast platforms.

❓ The question you need to answer is: When your target market searches their favourite podcast player will they: find you, your company, your brand? Or will they find your competition?

Do you have a fear of social media?
(Many of us do, it’s ok to admit it.)

👉 Is that fear associated to the negative or rude comments that may be thrown at you like stones?

If you do get hit by these stones of negativity it is important to remember:

✅ Not to let them alter your mood. If you let them alter your mood they will have won twice - first with the negative comment then with the resulting actions you will take in a negative mood. You deserve better so stay positive.

✅ Do not allow the negativity to take root in you by discouraging you from posting or being active on social media. You deserve better so take action immediately.

🤜 Review your content mission statement to keep you focused on your purpose for being on social media.

🙏🏻 Find 5 posts that resonate with you and leave 5 honest and authentic comments or just a thank-you.

👍 Create a new post that is true to your content mission statement and driven by your passion. Get it ready to post the next day and post it.

💪 Overcoming negativity with 5 times the positivity will go a long way to keeping those negative comments from taking hold of you.

✅ Taking action immediately pushes those sentiments away and keeps you moving passionately towards your goals.

🛑 selling to them.
🙏🏻 start helping them.

✅ No one likes to be sold, but everyone feels better when they have been helped.

👍 When people are helped by others they feel cared for and are more receptive to following your posts, channel or call to action.

👉 Remember: Most people you meet on social media will be cold contacts, so make a good first impression by helping them first.

I want to expand my network, build my brand, grow my email list, increase my followers (insert your social media goal)....BUT.....I am afraid to post on social media!

On average only 10% of social media users post on social media. That means 90% of the users that you are competing with do not post regularly and are not being seen.

Just showing up with a post on a regular basis will differentiate you from your competition and set you on the path to accomplishing your goals.

Do it today you deserve it.

Are you looking to elevate your performance? Use your time better? Get more done?

(Sorry no hacks here - just hard work!)

Then you need to learn how to say NO from a position of positivity. Saying NO is also saying YES to something else.

For example. We never recommend for our clients to purchase followers. Saying NO to that purchase is saying YES to building it authentically yourself.

Take a moment to reflect on your day to audit your time and see how much of it you are spending that is unfocused - like the dreaded social media scroll of death. Saying NO to it is saying YES to other more productive things.

Here are some additional examples to saying NO.

Say NO to TV and say YES to a good book.
Say NO to dessert and say YES to a healthier body.
Say NO to a text message and say YES to the work at hand.
Say NO to an additional beverage and say YES to better behaviour.
Say NO to scrolling on social media and say YES to posting on social media.

There are many more examples that you can apply to your life, take some time to reflect on them. Find the NOs that you can implement to put more focus in your life - you deserve it.
