It’s been a minute since we started the living room renovation at the lake house but we vowed over the holidays we would get back finishing this room and start doing some other projects around the house that we have either put off or haven’t had time for over the past 25 years! 😳
The plan for this wood slat wall was to conceal the door to the basement with a secret door… which had in fact turned into a bit of a nightmare after several attempts with various hinges over the last year!
We think we finally have it.. with just a few trim details to go!

We named our beach bungalow Buttonwood Breeze after the amazing Buttonwood tree growing in our front yard. This tree survived Hurricane Ian so we felt it was fitting to honour its resilience! 🌳
