On a business trip to the Cannes Film Festival, Man-hee is accused of being dishonest, and is abruptly fired. Music teacher Claire possesses the ability to transform objects with her camera and comes to sympathize with Man-hee. Claire goes with Manhee to the cafe where she was fired.
Claire’s camera is a transcendent gaze - like seeing in the eyes of a dog which was sitting in the corner of an alley as a matter of chance. Through the lens of Claire’s camera, actors are being strangers that she happens to encounter in a foreign city. The scandalous drama in which these actors are cast is innocent, but maybe not honest.

‘Ryeohaeng’ means 'journey' in the North Korean dialect. A group of women climb a summer mountain situated in South Korea. They are refugees who have settled in South Korean society after fleeing from North Korea. For them, climbing mountains has been an unavoidable journey for survival.
In Korea, mountains have been seen as the source of nation’s spirit, yet remain terrifying places for what was hidden and buried within during Korean War. The illusions of North and South Korea are unveiled, looking straight to the illusions of moving images.

남한에 위치한 여름 산을 여성들이 오르기 시작한다. 그녀들은 북한을 탈출해 남한 사회에 정착한 (난민)여성들이다. 남한 사회에서 다시 태어나고 싶다는 바램과 다르게 남북한 어느 쪽에도 뿌리내릴 수 없는 갈등, 불안의 그림자 그리고 고향에 대한 그리움이 그들 곁을 항상 따라 다닌다. 그녀들의 산행은 남한 사람들이 힐링과 여가생활로 생각하는 산행과는 다르게 삶과 죽음, 생존을 위해 꼭 넘어야 했던 여정이었다. 산을 오르며 들려주는 그녀들의 가슴 아픈 사연들이 아름다운 풍경과 함께 산수화처럼 하나 둘씩 펼쳐진다. ‘려행’은 북한에서 ‘여행’이라는 의미를 가진 말이다.
