Panorama: A Biomedical Perspective is a publication of the University of Western Ontario IEEE EMBS student chapter, which is aimed at communicating research and professional activities within the scope of the chapter. In addition to the peer-reviewed articles, submitted mainly by the students of the University of Western Ontario, each issue includes invited mentorship articles by faculty members,

as well as reports on relevant events. Because of its broad extent, which includes biomedical engineering, biological and medical sciences, it is of particular importance that the articles are written in a language understandable to everyone working within these fields. In fact, besides providing a means of communication, the magazine aims to promote the skills of writing in lay language among the students.
