Eagles are the only birds that fliy directly into the eye of a storm
While other birds avoid storms and seek shelter, the Eagle uses the strong winds to push itself above the storm into a space that’s calm and clear. He can now view see the turbulence below from a higher place and form a broader view.
So embrace change…fly into the storm…and you might just be rewarded with a new point of view and a smoother ride.

CLEARING CLUTTER IN OUTWARD AREAS IS REALLY A FORM OF EMOTIONAL CLEANSING

Clutter is a funny thing. It has a life of its own, and it seriously zaps your energy. It is demanding and persistent, like a w**d. It could be the clothes you have not looked at in years, but they still crowd your closet; books stored in the basement taking up precious space; equipment that has not worked for ages; poor lighting that has never been fixed; computer files that need to be organized, trashed or upgraded. The list goes on and on. Once you are aware of the fact that clutter in your physical environment creates a cluttered mind, it’s time to get started. Put your body and mind to work. You can start small, even if it’s just a drawer every day, but it’s important for you to start. I started with a room every month. Expect the cleanup to be hard—but know it is also a critical and courageous act of life change.

This analogy touched me very deeply, while I was going through the worst part of my acute PTSD. I wish I could pass this on to every human being, especially those who have suffered traumas in it’s various shapes and sizes and their families.
It was written by my friend Suzanne Harrill well before she experienced trauma when her brother was brutally murdered.

The Acorn Analogy
Deep inside you know how to be you, as an acorn knows how to be a mighty oak.
The acorn does the best it can do at each stage of growth along its life path.
Even if the early start was less than perfect, the eager oak accelerates its desire to grow every time that it has nurturing from nature: sunlight, rainwater, and soil nutrients.
YOU are like the acorn doing your best under the conditions in which you are growing.
Nurture yourself with awareness, acceptance, love, self-respect, and self-esteem, then watch you grow towards your full potential Self!
