End of an era. Don’t miss this final episode. A great show hosted by kind, knowledgeable people.
The final episode of Revolution Rock airs tonight on CJAM FM.
Revolution Rock began in the late-night hours on CJAM FM in June 2004. Focusing on 70s punk/new wave originally, the program evolved to include other genres garage rock, surf, alternative, indie and new/old music within and beyond those genres. The show branched out to include interviews, special focus programming, even live on air sessions at times. Revolution Rock has always been about discovering music, digging deep into the past of underground music and the present, whether new, old or obscure. In 2014, the program almost ended, but was given new life when Adam Peltier joined as co-host adding further elements to the show that didn’t seem possible. In 2020, the program began airing in syndication across different campus/community stations in Canada, broadcasting on 16 different stations currently. Recently the show won a CRABO award for Best Rock Show or Similar at the NCRA Awards.
We have made many lifelong friends through the station and would like to thank CJAM staff (past and present), programmers and anyone that has ever listened to the program. Encores of the show will be heard for a little while on CJAM FM following this, but to anyone that’s ever heard the show and listened, it will still live on.
Long live Revolution Rock!
