October 30, 2023 marks 25 years since Jake Just went missing.
Two years ago, I worked with Jake's mother Debbie to help share her story, and her son's, in a way never done before. It continues to attract and engage viewers to this day.
Debbie's story also attracted lead investigators and Jake's case manager at OPP - so much so that they have pulled Jake's file from the archives.
Over the years, Jake's case may have changed hands, but one thing is still certain - the Just family and the OPP still rely on your assistance to help bring Jake home and bring closure to his family.

After an initial 6-week search of a nearby forest by police and the community, no evidence has been found that would lead to the discovery of Jake. Today, the investigation is no further ahead.

Mute swans are a member of the waterfowl family Anatidae. An adult female can weigh between 8.5kg and 9kg, while an adult male (pictured here with a larger knob on it's bill) can weigh between 11kg and 12kg.
Their life span is typically 10 years or less and they're named after their distinctly muffled trumpet or bugle call, which doesn't carry as well as other swan species.
Here, a mute swan can be seen having a feed with the help of their long necks. Their diet consists of vegetation, grass, seeds, algae, small insects and amphibians.
