This may not seem like a massive addition, but given that WhatsApp Status is now up to 450 million daily active users, and that WhatsApp is seeing significant growth in Western markets, it could be a handy expansion for your content.

This could be a new opportunity to reach a wider audience with the same amount of content.

According to various reports, Instagram is currently testing out a new video ad format that does indeed stop users from scrolling in the main feed of the app until they’ve viewed a video ad.
This seems like such a baaaaad idea to me! Thoughts?

our Likes on X are set to disappear, as the platform moves to make what you’re interested in private, in order to counter potential negative connotations of your interests.

So if you want to like horrific, terrible, offensive stuff, you’ll now be able to, free of ramifications. Well, to some degree.

It’s not clear as yet whether all users will be charged a fee, or just those in selected regions to begin with. But it’s another step towards charging everybody to use the platform, which is another concept that Musk has floated in the past.

X originally piloted the new account fee initiative in selected regions last year.

This comes after many months of rising user complaints about the presence of bots on X, with some spam accounts flooding people’s notifications at random, which has seemingly prompted Elon and Co. to take additional measures.

Instagram has announced some new DM features as it works to enhance the usage of messaging as the key connective element in the app.

Because over time, more and more personal engagement is migrating to private chats, as users stop posting to the main feed.

First off, Instagram’s added message editing, which will enable you to update your DM for up to 15 minutes after sending. Learn more:

So now, if you want, you can make a more direct connection with someone via your X DMs. So long as you’re a paying user, as it’s only available on X Premium subscribers. It’s not entirely clear if it’s available to Premium Basic users, the cheapest tier of X subscription.

But if you are paying, or are willing to pay for X, and you want to call someone direct from the app, now you can.

Now, you can conduct direct calls on Android as well as iOS.
