I’ve worked for 40 years in some part of the financial sector. Every analyst I know called the F1 “problematic” for long term success and sustainability. It broke all the long standing rules as to why Las Vegas is a unique but successful niche market.
As I watched it move forward, I knew it was going to be an economic disaster for all the small businesses and retailers that depend on that niche: that there is something for everyone.
The big casinos don’t want the average person anymore. They don’t want the locals. Sports stadiums are being built on the public’s chit, but not for their local use. They overcharge for everything. They obviously only want the top 10% to vacation here. Well they are competing with thousands of other places that only want the very well to do. F1 is just the latest gouge before we break it scheme. It’s not a sustainable gameplay.

This change especially affects those aiming to collect high-priced cars, as the diminished credit earning rate makes progress frustratingly slow. This perspective highlights a need for balancing game mechanics to cater to players with limited gaming time, ensuring they still find the game rewarding and enjoyable.

The thing about this is simple - some of us are adults and don't have the time to just grind the same half hour race for such small credit that it makes it worth it. I don't know of any other game that scales to a point where it never becomes easy, and yet this game just did away with one of the best things that has happened to it by patching it in this way.

Another way of putting this, I have roughly 30 minutes to an hour to play per week. If every time I had that time to play I am basically forced into doing the same race to get a measly 800k credits. I have such a small incentive to play that I will choose something else almost every time. I want to collect cars and it simply isn't worth my time to play one race every time I turn the game on and still barely make any progress towards the 20million dollar cars I want to collect.

However, when I'm making 500k every 10 minutes, that's significantly easier to swallow. I still have 20 minutes of gameplay after I do a grind session to actually enjoy the game.

This was a big mistake on their part. The exploit only existed for level 50 players who golded the whole circuit experience anyway. It isn't like they are grinding to make it through championships. Add this narrative to the top to the text as well so it at this perspective.
