What This is All About

So I’ve been involved in politics since 2012. The whole story is years long and involves working in a few different places in the provincial world (you can read all the 5 blog posts about it starting here). Ultimately my time in the political world took a pause when I felt like I wasn’t doing any good. You see, I take an idealistic view of politics, believing that it should be a force of good in the world. When I didn’t see myself, or most of the people I was surrounded by doing any good, I knew I needed to step back.

Over the last year, I have had a series of experiences that have started pushing me back in. I’ve dipped my toes into a few different things, but nothing has seemed to be the right fit. I don’t like the constraints that are found within parties. I don’t believe it’s all black and white like everything is portrayed. I think there needs to be more space for dialogue - for conversation and learning. Take all of that coupled with the fact that I feel like I have a different perspective on the whole thing and that leaves me still confused...but confused with a podcast where I talk about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Join me as I dissect and digest current political events with the purpose of learning more, thinking critically about what I learn, and sharing my thoughts.
