to the video for 'Hold My Breath' by - this was such a special project to work on during the pandemic. The song really inspired me to try something special, and I had recently come into possession of a large collection of old 8mm home movies dating from the late 1950s to the early 1970s along with 2 projectors.

Without even really knowing what we were going to find on the reels, we projected them directly onto the performers and captured the contents on camera, and the results were magical. They told the story of an entire chapter in a family's history and were such a perfect compliment to such a beautiful song.

I've been revisiting some old projects and among them were a huge amount of photos I took while visiting Alcatraz by myself on a work trip to San Francisco in 2017. I never did anything with them, and they've just been sitting on a hard drive waiting to be seen again.

I can't recommend visiting this spot enough. It was an incredibly memorable trip, and one of the only times I've spent time alone as a tourist, and I found it incredibly rewarding.
