Today I’m 30! Holy sh*t😂 With this new decade comes new adventures! For the longest time I tried to stave off turning 30 and staying in my 20’s. If you know me you’ve probably heard me referencing Friends where Joey is crying saying why God we had a deal everybody else gets old while I stay young😝. That’s how I felt because I wanted to be young forever, but now that it is finally here I am excited for the new adventures, the new successes and achievements, the new people I will meet and the new creativity I will have!

So here I am Leo who is 30 today, who has visited 30 countries, started my own business, lived in an Australia and the U.S. I have sky dived, swam with the dolphins, glided over Bolivia, snorkeled with the sea turtles, scuba dived at the Great Barrier Reef, motorcycled across Vietnam, got a tattoo in Thailand, back packed Asia and South America, scaled the Great Wall of China, visited countless Wonders of the World, made some amazing friends, eaten everything I could have ever dreamed of especially as a foodie, and… I’m just getting started!

So here’s to love, life, and happiness and new experiences!

Last week I turned 29!

I threw an awesome party🥳at Watson's Toronto] where we drank and danced the night away and had an awesome set of beautiful gold and black balloons 🎈provided by Cutie Balloons Toronto] who were so amazing every step of the way!

Happy St. Patricks Day! 🍀We got a little creative with our cocktails and made a Whisky Mojito using an 🇮🇪Irish-American bottle of

We absolutely loved the blend of American and Irish Whiskey, creating a smooth, supple, and delicious taste of candied ginger, 😍vanilla, and an oaky finish that really brings it all together.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 oz Keepers Heart Whiskey
1 tsp lime juice
2 oz soda water
1/2 oz green creme de menthe
3 dashes of Angostura bitters

Steps:
Pack a Collins glass full of crushed Ice, mix the Creme de menthe with
soda water and the bitters and lime together and pour over the top.
Wait a moment for them to settle, and then top with Keerps Heart Whiskey.

First off, the space is beautiful with a really great vibe, and we were lucky enough to come when they have live music! (every Thursday and Friday, 6 PM-9 PM) by . The talented 🎷 blew the roof off with some fantastic sounds!

Scroll through our delicious🇯🇵 Japanese experience at .official , a premium seafood🌊donburi in the GTA!

First off, I absolutely loved the vibe, the decor, and how friendly every single server was; for instance, even before my tea🍵 could get cold, a new one🫖 was put in its place! The food came out crazy fast, and I enjoyed starting the meal with a warm Mismo soup! Now to the good stuff!

Here is what we had:

🧀Chicken Katsu Set with Cheese
🐉Gold Dragon Roll

We drooled over every item, as you could tell how fresh the fish was and how each dish was a work of art both visually😍and on the palette. The Kani Nabe had an unbelieve amount of crab with thick translucent noodles in the bottom that we loved, the Chicken Katsu was cheesy and crispy, and the Aburi Don was phenomenal - enough said. The Dragon Roll was the finishing touch, with its delicious golden sauce and fish eggs on top!

We highly recommend experiencing Hana Don's Japanese dishes, and make sure to bring friends because it's always fun with a bit of beer and sake!

Ice Cream Patio is much more than delicious Italian gelato, as they have great Italian items like their stone-oven-made pizzas, handmade Italian pastas, the craziest charcuterie board we have ever seen, and delicious Southern Italian mains!

Our head🤯, tastebuds, and foodie heart💘 exploded with joy after we had this Omkakse

We usually post a photo or two, but to really capture this amazing meal we maxed out the carousel because each photo will only make you hungrier for authentic🍣, delicious, mesmerizing, and incredible omkakse.

We literally have no words when it comes to this meal, but we'll try! First off the chef made everything in front of us and explained each dish telling us about flavour, texture, and what it is known for. Then we took a bite and we chewed ever so slowly, because each bite☺ had an incredible inviting flavour, some smoky from the blow torch, some subtly sweet, some acidic and bold🤗, and all of them incredibly fresh and soft.

The menu is below, if you want to know more we are open to questions and comments. All I really want to say is by now you should be telling yourself to book a table and let them take your money because you will never experience something so amazing again.

We tried THE BIG BANG☄ and it was EXPLOSIVE!

We got to go and try their Big Bang items one with crispy pork belly and the other with a🤯GOURMET burger!

These items were huge with so much protein that we could barely finish one!😁 Each one comes with fried garlic rice and🍳2 sunny side up eggs! Plus a diced salad!

Not to mention that the Salisbury burger with mushroom gravy🤪 was literally the most mouth watering thing that totally surprised the heck out of us!

The best way to say ❤ I LOVE YOU!

These beautifully designed treats are chocolate strawberries from .ed ! They have so many cool toppings and flavours!

This box we got to try out is their "Say That You Love Me" box with milk chocolate base, white chocolate drizzle, sprinkles and our personal fav fav fav Cookies and Cream. 😉We demolished those first!

They also have great boxes for any celebration you can think of!

Check them out and if it were me I'd I'd all over their Candyland box!

We are getting😛 CRISPY TODAY with this BAD BOY!

We checked out to get some delicious Cuban treats and decided on 🤪THE BG CHICKEN!

A new menu item that people are going crazy for with its crunchy chicken breast, berry guava, caramelized sauce, mano lettuce, with their secret 😍MOJO sauce!

The flavours were incredible! A mix of sweet and savoury, crunchy and smooth, and to top it all off a toasted and buttered bread that put it all together!

The Taco🌮 you want this Tuesday? An authentic Mexican one!

We visited a food truck that is all about bringing the famous Mexican flavour and authenticity to Scarborough!🤪 We tried their Birria Tacos which comes in a set of three and boy we were impressed!

Made in a spicy stew, the beef is so soft and tender it basically melts in your mouth, while giving the tacos a soft but meaty flavour that all comes together with some delicious, spiced greens on top.

If your hankering for tacos visit them x !

TIME TO SURF🏄‍♀️ AND TURF THIS BOWL!

This is one of the best Surf and Turf we have ever had, not only is it different to your regular surf and turf, but the ingredients used here were exceptional.

created an exceptional takeout bowl, that is down right HUGE!

It has tender pieces of GOLD GRADE WAYGU BEEF, shredded TORCHED LOBSTER, and steamed corn all sitting on a fluffy pillow of delicious rice dripping with Japanese BBQ sauce.

They also have other really good bowls including Unagi Bowl, Spicy Salmon, Toro, and Berkshire Pork Bowl.

Wagyu beef or Lobster? Why choose one when you can have both!

🍳🥓Here’s a little quick and easy AND yummy breakfast I find myself gravitating towards on a daily 😍 It’s protein-filled and super healthy thanks to @mcleanmeats for using all natural and high quality ingredients, no preservatives, no celery extracts, AND the meat is raised organic 🙌🏼🥩 making it a super healthy choice and just overall so flavoured and delicious! 🤤 McLean Meats used in video: 🥩Beef Smokies Sausage 🥓Traditional Breakfast Sausage 🍖Country Maple Breakfast Sausage McLean Cold Cuts: 🦃Tuscany Turkey Breast 🐓 Roasted Chicken Breast Recipe: 1.Chop up some red onion, green and red peppers, add it to a pan with olive oil and add a little salt and pepper for flavour. 🧂 2.Let it sauté for about 2 minutes (or until a bit golden). 3.Add the McLean meats, mix it all in. 4.Add a cup of already cooked breakfast potatoes (hash browns if you prefer) and mix it all in. 5.I seasoned my potatoes with herbs de Provence for extra flavour 🤤 6. How it all Began

It’s story time! In the beginning there was one Google Local Guide who enjoyed writing reviews and trying new places with crazy foods. He took all his friends to the best places to eat and shared his pictures and insight with millions of people on Google. After speaking to restaurant owners and foodies across Toronto about the troubles of other platforms he decided there is a better way to connect resturants and foodies. The idea for Schmooze Foods was born! For those of you who do not know “Schmooze” is a Yiddish word meaning an intimate conversation with, so Schmooze + Foods means that we have an intimate conversation with food. We do that by taking pictures, writing reviews of amazing restaurants, sharing articles that you might be interested in, and creating top 10 lists.
