If you’re not getting enough new eyeballs 👀 on your content (and you’re not seeing a lot of engagement on your posts) this is probably why:

You are probably stuck posting MOFC content (Middle of Funnel Content).

What is middle of funnel content?

Content that does a good job of:

✅ Educating your audience
✅ Building trust with your followers
✅ Doing a deep dive on a topic (like this carousel for example)

But MOFC does NOT help you get in front of NEW people on Instagram.

What does your funnel need more of?

Top of Funnel Content!

And how do you do that?

Post more short and easy Reels.

Is your Instagram Grid about to change?

Maybe.

Instagram is currently testing changing the beloved square grid to a 4:5 portrait sized grid, or even the full 9:16 TikTok style.

So what does this mean for grid layout?

Does it even matter anymore?

In short, yes, no and maybe - depending on your industry.

Made up income claims for the digital marketing MRR courses, “Here’s how I made $10k overnight and you can too!”

(The good news is that the FTC is starting to crack down on these so we will hopefully see less of them in the future).

Second only to seeing the 🚀 emoji and knowing that ChatGTP probably wrote the caption!

Who doesn’t love looking at their Spotify Wrapped every year? Let’s break it down, but social media style!

Would your Social Media Wrapped look something like this?

📱Liking your own posts 327 times
📱 4526 minutes scrolling for content (it’s probably more)
📱 Your longest streak of posting was back in January
📱 42 tabs open at all times to “read later” for content ideas

This might be an unpopular opinion: But It’s ok to say NO to Black Friday Promos for your business. 

In fact, you might be doing your business a favour by NOT running a discount or promotion this week.

Black Friday offers can end up hurting your business if they don’t align with your long term goals. For most small business owners, having a massive sale next week actually leads to lower conversions and sales the rest of the year. 
Are there ways you can run a Black Friday  promo to get in front of new clients? Absolutely. 

(In fact that was why we launched the Confident with Content Community last week to have a mini offer that made sense for this time of the year) 
But do you need to run a Black Friday promo to be successful? 

Nope.

☀️ To post or NOT to post on Instagram over the weekends in the summer? (Or any weekend for that matter)☀️

It’s not always a straightforward answer. Here’s 3 things to keep in mind for your social media planning:

1️⃣ People are likely to be off their phones more over the weekends - especially in the summer months. Hopefully spending some time away with family and friends enjoying the sunshine. This means you may see lower views on Saturdays and Sundays.

2️⃣ On the flip slide, fewer people are posting content on Instagram (see point 1 above). This means you will have less noise to break through for people who are taking some time to scroll through Instagram.

3️⃣ If your busy day for your business IS the weekend -then I would definitely post content those days.

For me: I almost never post content on the weekend.
I would much rather spend my time like slide 7 ❤️

New brand photos dropping in like 🔥🔥🔥

Spent a day back in May with Brittany and shooting our first ever brand photoshoot for the Marketing Club.

Now that the .ca membership is going into its 3rd year, it was time to level up the branding with our new brand colours (can you tell we like hot pink!)

What made this photoshoot day such a success:

✅ Finding the perfect hot pink skirt from
✅ Brittany letting us rearranging all of the furniture in her living room
✅ Having a photographer that knows you need a dozen photos of you pointing in front of a blank wall!

Bonus: Having a blank white bristol board that will be very fun to add some overlaid text to!

Stop sharing testimonials that do more harm than good on Instagram!

If you have ever used the Canva template for a testimonial, you’re not alone.

(Sometimes Canva makes things a little too easy for us!)

But those generic testimonial templates are not making the impact that they should when it comes to showing off how great your work is!

What can you do instead?

Craft a story out a testimonial and tell your followers:

✅ What the challenge or problem was that your client had when they hired you
