I ASSume it’s safe to say if you’re an old-school Rush fan (circa 2112, AFTK, Hemispheres, etc) you are likely already aware of them…but in the case that you are not yet aware of them, let me recommend checking out the new album ‘Fearless’ from Canadian band Crown Lands 🇨🇦

They are a duo (!!!) covering all that incredible progressive musical ground that Geddy, Alex and Neil used to…it’s uncanny & it’s awesome! Congrats & on another outstanding release and for pushing the boundaries of what can be simultaneously performed on your respective instruments (and yes the two of them pull it off live too!! Search them on YouTube…) Pretty mind blowing! 🤯

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. To this day, I feel honored to have been a part of such a groundbreaking album. Our goal at the time was to stretch the boundaries of the recording process, and in the process create something magical. And I think many will agree we achieved that goal. As engineer, I was grateful that the band was open to a number of my suggestions, which included the use of the clocks on the intro to Time, as well as utilization of a very talented vocalist who I had previously worked with named Clare Torry for the vocals on Great Gig in the Sky.

The fact that we are still talking about this album 50 years later is something I never would have dreamed possible. And yet, here we are….

Very soon the wait will be over. At midnight, Thursday to Friday 21.10, our new single called “I’m Done With You” from the upcoming eighth Riverside album will become available on all digital platforms and streaming services.

This Friday (21.10) at 13:00 CET we will also reveal the title, cover and track list of the new album, and the videoclip illustrating the first single! Preorders will start then as well. The new album will be released on January 20th, 2023.

We’re hoping that you will enjoy this opening of the third decade in our career :)

“This analogue tube technology has really come a long way!” - Alan Parsons

Hello, everyone. This is Tabitha Parsons writing on behalf of our entire family. We’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love, support, well wishes, and thoughts and prayers expressed for Alan and our family as he faced this urgent spinal surgery. The surgery was a success and Alan is now comfortably resting at home. There will be some lengthy recovery time, but he will be back to his normal and pain-free self soon enough. We have some concert dates on the schedule for the fall which will continue as planned and we hope to get any rescheduled dates confirmed and on the schedule shortly.
