I've been down to lower water street to check it out (across from maritime museum of the atlantic) and it looks like it will be a really fun space! Finalizing some details to DJ there on Canada Day evening... excited!

My setup for the final prom ever at Eastern Shore District High. Next year they move to a new facility. They're always a great group of kids who dance to a bit of everything, even some 70's songs! All the best to the staff on the big change next year.

I've been busy talking about the upcoming Halloween dance but can I stop for a minute to appreciate all the great people who came out to the Sept 9th dance... it was such a busy night filled with nothing but good vibes start to finish. Big love to the Parkside Pub & Smokehouse staff and patrons See you again on Oct 28th! 🎃

Thanks to the gymnation gymnastics group for bringing me out to Enfield at Shooters Bar & Grill last night, it was a blast!

Holy cow, I made it to 900 followers! I started this page just a few short years ago after I returned to Halifax. It's been kind of a wild ride... some good venues, some bad ones, maybe a little 2 year pandemic hiatus... but it's been a fun and rewarding ride, thanks to each of you for hitting the follow button, making it out to a gig somewhere along the way and being the best part of the journey. Would you like to see any different types of dances in the future? Any additional locations between HRM and the Valley?

Jason Dorey AKA DJ Fayder

Jason AKA "DJ Fayder" is a veteran open Format DJ from Halifax, NS celebrating 25 years in the business. He began in 1994 at the age of 14 at Mega Sounds DJ services assisting as DJ at school dances, banquets and weddings all around the HRM.

A couple of years later around 1996-97 cosmic bowling at Fairlanes in the Halifax Shopping Center was the latest thing and you could find Jason spinning the latest radio friendly hits for all ages at the lanes every weekend.

When he turned 19, Jason went on to DJ the nightclub scene in downtown Halifax and had a residency at a number of the hottest spots. The Palace & Jerry's Pub, JJ’s, The Party House, 5171, Captain Eli’s and a few more.

Over the past decade DJ Fayder sailed the high seas as a Pro DJ for Carnival Cruise Lines and their “Carnival 2.0” entertainment program, rocking the dance floor and having lots of fun with diverse crowds from all across North America. After a long affair with the sea, Jason returned back to Halifax and you can now find him planning his next big party somewhere around the city... or book him for your own private event!
