We deeply miss Garry Neill Kennedy, who died earlier this year; his contributions to conceptual art, artists' publishing, and education in Canada will continue to reverberate. One of the books we made with him was this reproduction of a book originally made in the 1990s from his exhibition of the same name. Through one-panel cartoons of office life, taken from magazines of the 1950s and 1960s, Kennedy takes us through the rooms and domains of a mid-century corporate office. Printed on bright yellow stock inside and out. Order online:

This four-volume set edited by Mary Ellen Waithe surveys the work of women philosophers from ancient Greece to the late twentieth century. Copies of individual volumes can be found from online booksellers for up to $200. Our set costs $15 dollars per volume, for a total of $60, because in this world of Jordan Peterson stans it is increasingly important to know that women continue to contribute to philosophy, drawing on work that began before Diotima and Hypatia (except you can ignore Ayn Rand, even though she is in a small part of Volume IV). The final report of Canada's report into the Residential Schools system, which was designed to destroy Indigenous culture and traditions and systematically abused, starved, and killed Indigenous children, remains one of the most important public documents in contemporary Canada. This is the executive summary of the testimonies and calls to action resulting from the work of the commission; a careful reader will note that the vast majority of the ninety-four calls to action have not been implemented by governments and public institutions....

Repost from

Thursday July 29 4pm Vancouver time

𝘐𝘯 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦, a project of the Libby Leshgold Gallery and ECU Press, launches on Thursday, July 29 at 4pm Pacific Daylight Time with an online talk by Eleanor Vonne Brown (X Marks the Bökship) and Ho Tam (HoTam Press) exploring the strategies, realities, and contexts of the artist-made spaces that support artists’ publishing and disseminate artists’ publications.

The 𝘐𝘯 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 project as a whole will culminate in an online and print directory of spaces of artists’ publishing and a delineation of the networks within which these spaces function. 𝘐𝘯 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 is the fourth instalment of the Libby Leshgold Gallery’s 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴’ 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, a space for critical reflection on the practices of artist-publishers and the systems, histories, and ideas that shape their activity. This project builds on the summer 2020 online project by Wendy’s Subway, 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, in creating an online archive for an aspect of artists’ publishing.

This is a free event. Please register at the link in bio.
