After having a really bad experience last fall, never take for granted your hair stylist!! A lot of treatments later, my hair is getting back to the healthy way I like it. For some, hair is just a thing, for me it has always been something that can make or break me.. Sorry not sorry!!

Day 8 - Out da Bay on a Sunny Day!!

What a wonderful day spent with great friends and new ones!! I couldn’t have asked for a better day.. from dungeons to dophins, whales, puffins and a boil up!!

It was so great to be with all my family for a lovely cook-up outside!! So lucky to be home to do that as I wish my cousins that are away could be there too.. Salt Meat never tasted so good!

So I did a little test! I have seriously limited carbs and sugars for years to try to lose weight or at least maintain where I have been! Always trying some new diet and trust me I have tried them all! I should be a stick but I’m not!!

Then a couple months ago I started making sourdough and stopped as I thought it was the cause of my belly fat! Haven’t had a bite in weeks and dammit I’m still up 2 pounds!

I am seeing a naturopath in a couple of weeks to see what the heck hormones are doing to me.. I suspect high cortisol.. but we will see.

In the meantime!! Eat the dam Bread 🙂

The changes in my life have taught me to embrace the uncertainty and to find strength in the hard moments. Every twist and turn is an opportunity to rediscover myself and the world around me. I try hard and every day I just remain grateful for the love of friends and family around me.

The reality of all the changes is that now I am on my own!! Will I say it’s easy? Absolutely not! The cost of living is rediculous and I honestly don’t know how I would be able to raise kids on my own in today’s economy!

Am I in financial hardship? No, I won’t say that. Can I buy the things I want? Not all of them
Can I jump on a plane to see Mom or my boys when I want? No, I can’t
Is my workplace affecting my health? Yes it is
Do I need to supplement my income? Yes I do

I have invested in an online business because I need to do something! Something that allows me to do it with flexibility. All I have is time so this works for me.

All I ask of everyone is positive best wishes. I am a firm believer in supporting anyone that is trying to better themselves or a situation.

I am going to make this work!! My goal is to retire early and be able to go spend long weekends with my kids and my Mom and Sis whenever I want!! That’s it, that’s all!

I have always been interested in nutrition and “weight loss” even through my reasonings have changed over the years. Now, it is 💯 on being healthy and trying my best to be around as long as I can.. some will say it’s all genetics but I just feel better knowing I am recognizing what I feed my body.

One thing I have learned is to not deprive yourself of things and everything is in moderation.. try to eat healthy and daily excercise (and that is a “something is better then nothing” approach)

Those are my Sunday morning thoughts 🤣 and one other thing…

I’m grateful to be here to eat this yummy breaky!!
