An RCMP message sent out at 1:27 p.m. advised the public to lock their doors and windows, and said in a news release an alert ready message was ready to be issued, but the suspect was apprehended moments before and police updated that the operation was over.

A 31-year-old man has been charged following a weapons event in Plaster Rock on Sunday, July 23.
