As I begin this journey with Open Spaces, I just wanted to take a little time to share some thoughts and give you a little glimpse into what Open Spaces is all about.

Sometimes we are hesitant to speak up for fear of what others may say. Other times we are told not to speak up because others fear what people may say.

Sometimes we are afraid to ask the tough questions for fear of what others may say. Because far too often we are taught not to ask questions - to bury them within and accept what we are taught and told.

But I say speak and ask the questions. Learn from each other. Be open to the fact that others have valuable insights that can lead to mutual growth and deeper relationships.

Be willing to admit that different does not equal wrong. Be willing to admit, that sometimes we can get things wrong.

It's about coming together with our fellow human beings and walking this path without judgement. Just love and respect.

So lets begin to sit together. Grab a coffee and be amazed at how much we can actually learn from one another.

We all seek to express that which is important to us, and we do so in ways that reflect who we are.

For me, one such way has always been music.

As Aldous Huxley once said, “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”

It’s a new season, a time to express.

So say hello to “Crimson Echoes” - call it a band, or music group. Either is fine.

But I like to think of it as voices coming together to express the inexpressible.
