CKFW Model’s Spotlight | Congratulations 🔆MIRANDA 🔆Official Model of the Calgary Kids and Teens Fashion Week 2024 | Bloom Under The Golden Sun Season 5

Introducing Miranda! She is a 14-year-old, grade 9 French immersion student, born and raised in Calgary. She has a younger and older brother, as well as supportive parents and friends, who have all been very encouraging in her modelling journey.

She was honoured and privileged to be a part of the recent CIFAW showcase event, "Lo and Behold," in her runway debut, and she is looking forward to more events and modeling opportunities on behalf of her amazing agency, NUMA!

She has her blue belt in karate and is very active in community and school basketball. She volunteers regularly at our local animal shelter (AARCS) and spent most of this past summer volunteering as an Intern for children's summer camps at our local community centre. Her dream is to travel (especially to Italy), and she hopes one day to be an international model.

She is looking forward to being a part of SCI again for their CKFW show in April and wants to thank the organizers, Limuel and Alvin, for the opportunity!

Alyx has been with Numa since 2018 and started as a Development Director in 2021.

You’ll rarely find Alyx hanging out at home, she’s usually running around town trying out new restaurants with friends, outside on the park paths, or out in Fernie enjoying some time away from the city. Occasionally though she might be curled up on the couch with a good book and some tea.

At Numa, Alyx is focused on helping develop models at the agency but also works in job bookings. 🩵

My Name is Sidney Jean Victoria, I am 14 years old and was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I am mixed race and my nationalities are Filipino and Canadian. Currently, I am in my first year of high school with plans to become very involved in the student body and volunteering programs. I am a member of my school's interactive club which helps local non-profit organizations with fundraisers and donations.

I am a part of the amazing Patti Falconer and Numa Network agencies. One of my aspirations is to become more involved in the community and CIFAW has allowed me to expand my network by welcoming me with open arms. I am excited about the future and am willing to be introduced to new experiences and adventures.

The reason I strive to be involved with CIFAW is because of my mentor, role model, and inspiration; my mother. She has always inspired me by telling me about her pageants and modelling experiences when she was younger. Hi! My name is Jazmin , I’m 15 years old and I was born and raised in Nicaragua but I moved here to Canada 7 months ago. I am currently in the 10th grade of High School and my goal this year is to become an Honor Roll student and be disciplined.

I am part of “The Numa Network” and I’m so grateful with God for such a big opportunity like this, my dream has always been to become a Top Model and with my effort and their help, I put my faith in God that I’ll make it one day!

Hello! My name is Donya; I'm a model with The Numa Network, based in the vibrant city of Calgary, Alberta. Beyond modelling, my heart lies in makeup, fashion, and martial arts. I've been doing Karate for about ten years and have definitely felt the hardships of being a competitive athlete, competing on an international scale. Alongside my academic pursuits and my passion for modelling, I dedicated myself to this martial art and have very high expectations for myself that have been very difficult, mentally and physically, to accomplish. Hi, my name is Noah. I am a 16-year-old Haitian-Canadian and in grade 11. Currently, I am building my career as a model, learning the ropes as I go and trying to make a name for myself in the modelling industry. It’s been about a year since I officially started modelling, and I’ve been very fortunate to have so many amazing opportunities that I am so grateful for.

The reason I wanted to apply for CIFAW is because I wanted to gain further experience with a more mature setting as well as gain professional runway techniques.

I have always had a keen interest in fashion and presented myself with pride while exhibiting the best version of myself. I understand that the modelling industry is consistently evolving, and I am super excited about every opportunity that is presented to me.

In addition, my ultimate goal is a career in the modelling industry, and I will do everything in my power to continue learning, growing and evolving as the industry does. I look forward to every step this journey leads me on.

My name is Emma, I am 17 years old, and I am a Romanian-Canadian. Currently, I am in my last year of high school, and so far, I have done medical work at a clinic, volunteered as a coach at the YMCA, played on school and club basketball teams, volunteered at an optometrist, and am now a member at my school for Law Club.
At the moment, I am with the NUMA Network, and I have been modelling for about two years. Through NUMA I have discovered CIFAW, and I wanted to become involved with CIFAW to gain new experiences. I am beyond excited to work with CIFAW and see what future lies ahead. I am excited to continue working with the company as well as more models, but also for the opportunity to grow as a person.
I started modelling to find the best, most confident version of myself. I believe that CIFAW will allow me to further expand on who I am, and continue growing my skills as a model, and as a person. However, I could not do this without the help of my family, who was there to support my journey from the beginning. Through the support of my family and friends, my dream of becoming a model is finally coming true. With CIFAW, I believe it will allow me to work at my passions and dreams, and I hope to give the same feeling to many others in the future.
