How it all started…
I work with a lot of clients within the grape and wine industry so I wanted to share how it all started.
I grew up in Niagara and was raised on a farm and was always interested in this industry and people and stories within in. My love and curiosity started when I was young and would help my papa make wine on the farm.
My passion continued to grow when I worked as a TV news reporter and would cover stories within the industry and learned more about it.
Before I started Britt Dixon creative I also worked at CCOVI and Brock University as a communications officer helping them tell stories and with social media. I also earned a certificate in Ontario wine while I was there.
I’m so passionate about helping small businesses within this industry share their stories and build their brands through social media marketing.

Tools for repurposing your content ⬇️
You have more content than you think!
That post you shared 2 months ago? Your audience doesn’t remember. The b-roll clips you feel you’ve used too many times? Your audince doesn’t remember.
Repurpose your content! Recycle your content! This is your reminder that you do not need to reinvent the wheel every time you post.
Here are some tips for repurposing your content 👇
👉 Video b-roll: Find video you already have in your camera roll and overlay text on top
👉 Recap/Wrap: Edit a bunch of video clips together to create a recap.
👉 Templates: Use a quick and easy already made CapCut template with a photo or video you already have in your camera roll (need help? send me a DM). This is great for funny and relatable content. Or you could use an IG template that lets you just plug in your photos and videos and does tie work for you.
👉 Long form content: Transform key points from bog posts in to bite sized Reels, repurpose longer form YouTube videos, podcasts or trainings, pull from your newsletter or LinkedIn articles.
👉 High performing content: Go to your analytics to find highly saved, shared, liked, engaged with posts and create a new post with the same idea.
👉 Caption to Voiceover: Take an old caption from a post and turn it into a voice over with some video b-roll.
👉 Turn copy into visuals: Repurpose your website copy into a Reels.
How often should I post on Instagram?
It’s the number one question I get asked as a Social Media Manager! My recommendation is 3-5+ times a week.
Here’s why 👇
✔️ The more you post the better you get at it and the faster you get at it. Think about it like a gym membership – if you just go once a week you’re probably not really going to see results
✔️ Posting several times a week will help you develop your skills, test and improve your messaging to your audience and experiment with what works and what doesn’t in terms of content.
✔️ It’s FREE to post and FREE to experiment! You have this great, absolutely free marketing tool that lets you get in front of all those people – think about before social media when businesses would have to pay for ads on tv, radio and print.
So start posting! Every post doesn’t have to be perfect. Stick to your key messaging and create content that speaks to your ideal client.
