Hi! It’s been a while so I thought it was a good time to reintroduce myself… I’m Cathy! I’m so happy you’re here and I wanted to share a few fun facts about myself as we get to know one another.

🌸 I’m on my third major career change! I started out as a middle school band and choir teacher (16 years) and then became a wedding and event planner (16 years). While I still do a few weddings each year, I focus more on social media management and coaching small business owners and entrepreneurs (including wedding professionals) how to use social media to promote and market their businesses. (I guess it all comes back full circle as I’m back doing the teaching thing, but in a different type of ‘school’!)

🌷 I live in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) since I was 4 years old! I attended university out on the West Coast and spent some time in Costa Rica, but my heart always comes back to Calgary and the Canadian Rockies! (Although there is a part of me who would love to live closer to the ocean!)

🌻 I stumbled on my love of social media! At first it became something I had to do for my business, but then I became intrigued by the puzzle of it all. Now, I see it as a game of sorts! (Yes, I have to put boundaries in place so I don’t spend too much time scrolling, but I love trying to figure out how to “level up”!

🪻 I’m also the VP of Communications for The Association of Bridal Consultants! ( ) The association is under new leadership as of January 1st this past year and it’s been exciting and exhilarating to be part of the team moving things in a new direction. It also keeps me connected more than ever to the wedding industry, giving me insight and understanding to the challenges facing wedding professionals and helping them connect with Millennials and Gen Z clientele.
