January 12, 2024– Tabatha is the author of More Wishes and joined our team in September of 2023. I remember speaking with her on the phone to get to know more about her and I can tell you that I was instantly enchanted by her amazing energy, warmth, and personality. She’s a ray of sunshine and she brings so much to our team at Pandamonium Publishing House! She’s just one of those people who brings so much love and passion to everything she does and you can see it in her books, her posts, and her events. Let’s get to know her a bit more:

Tabatha was previously published and has more books on the way! “Silent Sam” published by Lee and Low Books just hit the 20-years in publication mark! And “More Wishes” published by Pandamonium released in Sept 2023, “T’was The Morning Before Christmas Eve” (coming in 2024), “The Samwitch” (coming in 2025), and “More Magic” (also coming in 2025) all on the way from Pandamonium.

We asked Tabatha, what inspires you to write/create or how you came up with your specific idea for your book. “For me, I find inspiration in everyday circumstances, conversations, or memories. I believe in the magic of possibilities and making genuine connections. “More Wishes” was inspired by my grandmother and her love of dandelion wishes. (I still can’t pass a dandelion without making a wish!) My goal was to take the memories I had with my grandmother and create a book that will teach readers about the many ways we make wishes around the world.”

What do you like to do when you’re not writing? ” Well, if you are looking for cooking advice—I’m definitely not your girl (just ask my sisters)! My hobbies are eating chocolate and endless cups of coffee. My passions are, outside of spending time with my family, trolling old cemeteries, walks in the woods, and the beach. I’m obsessed with beautiful skies and especially love collecting rocks with my grandsons.” I love this so much!

What is your hope for 2024? “My hope for 2024 is to keep writing and encourage more kids to read. As an author it’s important for me to help kids foster a lifelong love for literacy. And of course, there’s nothing wrong with indulging in a little chocolate along the way! So, here’s to a 2024 full of great stories, inspired readers, and plenty of chocolate!”

THIS is exactly why we do what we do! Tabatha’s love for literacy makes her a perfect fit for our team. We’re so glad she’s here!

January 11, 2024-Tim Ford and I met many years ago at Supercrawl in Hamilton and I’ll never forget that meeting! He was so well spoken, down to earth, and just one of those guys that made you feel completely at ease. Then he told me about his books and I was hooked. It’s been an absolute pleasure working alongside him and his series is like no other. He’s got a talent for sitting his readers right beside his characters and having them experience everything that the characters go through…which can be downright disturbing at times, LOL! Let’s get to know what makes Tim tick:
The last 3 books published with Pandamonium are, Forbidden or Worse, The Ghosts that haunt Me, Fools Betrayal. To be published in 2024, Carini Inc, and A Strongbow Revenge.
When we asked Tim what inspires him to write, here’s what he said: “I have a chronic disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis, that is trying it’s best to cripple me. I started writing to help me mentally escape current flair ups, and a possible dark future. When I write, I feel no pain, a great sense of accomplishment, and I can control Mitch’s destiny, and also put my real life fears, through Mitch’s eyes. Truly is great mental therapy for me.”
Where did you come up with your ideas for the Mitch Strongbow Series? “Originally, my story was supposed to be a short story, just a half Sioux-half German teen, asking out this Russian, Jewish teen to a New Years Eve party. Here we are 14 books later, and still evolving the story line.”
When you’re not writing, what do you like to do? “Outside interests. I have always been a gym rat, great for the body, mind and soul. I love concerts, music is my favorite drug, and the band Phish, they are my favorite dealer. Last year I travelled to see them twice at MSG in NYC, and once in Syracuse. As we said as teens, “Road Trip”.”
Any advice for new or upcoming writers? “I enjoy helping new writers, letting them know what has worked for me. Makes me feel great once they start to get published, like one of our kids graduating school, with honours.”
What upcoming projects are you working on? “Currently writing book # 14 in the Strongbow series, “Twins in Sin”, is what I am thinking for the name. Currently at 62,000 words. 1976 for the timeline.”
Here’s where you can find Tim’s books:

January 10, 2024- Regan joined our team 3 years ago (2021) and we couldn't be happier to have her at Pandamonium Publishing House. She's got an impressive collection of tales that range from picture books to middle-grade novels, with some upcoming projects in the works! Let's find out more about Regan:
So far, we've published the books "Peter Little Wing," "Chloe the Unfeathered Parrot," "Tamara Turtle’s Life So Far," and "Merry Myrrh the Christmas Bat" with Regan. These enchanting stories focus on animals in a variety of ways, from rescue efforts to neurodivergence; there's something inclusive for everyone.
We asked Regan wat inspires her and her writing: "Animals I’ve met in one way or another, places I’ve been, particularly the forests of Ontario and anywhere in New Zealand. And of course, people I know or have crossed paths with. Even a name I come across can inspire a whole character. Walking, especially in nature, but also all over the city, is important in helping me process ideas." Ask her about Onion and Rangi!:)
Outside of writing, what are your interests? "I love animals tremendously—they are a source of inspiration, but I also care for them as part of my other career as a Certified Canine and Feline Massage Therapist, and as a “pet mom”. I have six toads, a tree frog, two aquatic frogs, two newts, a salamander, a number of different fish, and countless shrimp living with me, along with the standard dog, cat, and husband! I am also a filmmaker and a producer and director of live theatre." How fabulous is this? I love that she has so many different animals!
What do you hope for in 2024? "I hope for more time for my writing projects, more events and opportunities to promote my books, especially “Peter Little Wing”, and somehow I also hope to find more time for self care. I need to find time for the breaks that I need—that’s the space where new ideas usually dawn on me."
Here's where you can find Regan on social media (be sure to follow her for updates on her coming works as well as other fun things that she's up to!):

January 9, 2024– Sherry Turner joined our team almost a year ago (January 11, 2023) with her delightful story, Gramma’s Bag of Tricks! She’s a wonderful addition to our line up and we look forward to more stories from her in the future. Let’s get to learn more about her and what her creative process is:

We asked Sherry what inspires her and she said, “I am inspired to write by everything around me, and everything I experience in life! My mind just automatically starts creating a story when I hear a phrase, or conversation that sparks my interest.”

What do you like to do when you’re not writing? “Outside of writing, I love to cook, garden, practice yoga, and spend time with my family! I love to continue learning, and I am planning on taking many course this year now that I have retired from my nursing career after 27 years.” Wow! That’s so great and what an incredible career!

What is your hope for 2024? “My hope for 2024 is that I publish more of my children’s stories. I am taking courses on book illustrations and would love to illustrate books in the future.” That sounds great and we can’t wait to see what you come out with next!

https://pandamoniumpublishing.wpcomstaging.com/2024/01/08/jan-l-coates-the-pocket-pig/
January 8, 2024– Jan L. Coates is a multi-talented author and illustrator who is from Nova Scotia and joined our team in 2022 with her charming and delightfully funny children’s book, The Pocket Pig. We’re so glad she’s here! Let’s get to know a bit about her and where the inspiration for her book came from:

Where did the idea for The Pocket Pig come from? “Years ago, I was helping out in a primary classroom, and a little boy had made some kind of mess on his table. When I asked him why he had made the mess, his response: “It wasn’t me. It was this pig, right here in my pocket.” My story was born when he pulled a tiny toy pig out of his pocket. Also, when my much-younger brother was little, he had an invisible friend named George McGonk (McGoink since my George is a pig). These days I’m most inspired to write/make art after spending time with my granddaughters, Ada & Noelle, who are amazing two-year-olds who are just starting to learn to play make-believe – such fun!”
I absolutely LOVE this story behind the story, and it’s true that inspiration comes from real life!

When you’re not writing, what do you like to do? What are some of your hobbies? “When I’m not at my art desk or my laptop (or head-writing) I love to be outside, riding my bike, on a beach, in the woods, or just walking around town. I also play badminton and pickleball and I like to go to the gym and do yoga. Lately, my home for half of the year is our family cottage in the Haliburton Highlands, which allows me to be part of Ada and Noelle’s growing-up years – I feel so lucky to be able to spend time with my family in two beautiful places (Nova Scotia).”

What do you hope for in 2024? “My hope for 2024 is simply that my family will be healthy. I also have a picture book under contract. It’s a project I’ve been working on since 2015, and I’m hoping it’ll appear in 2024.”

https://wordpress.com/post/pandamoniumpublishing.wpcomstaging.com/25177 January 4, 2024– Anne has recently joined our team and we’re thrilled to have her at Pandamonium Publishing House! Anne attended Sheridan College in Oakville where she took their 3 year Classical Animation Program and has worked on some very impressive projects including freelancing for Disney, DreamWorks, and Warner Brothers. She’s worked tv series and feature films, from The Raccoons and The Simpson’s to The Princess and the Frog, and most recently, Space Jam 2!

Anne has just finished writing and illustrating her first children’s book “The Lost Spectacles, A Granny F***y Fairy Mystery” which will be available soon from Pandamonium.

When we asked Anne what inspires her work, here’s what she said, “My love of gardening is what helps to inspire me when it comes to both writing and illustrating.”

I always feel the need to be creative, and enjoy trying new ventures whenever possible (currently that’s needle felting). If I can combine a few of her hobbies into one project, I’m even happier!

When asked about her hope for 2024, she said, “In 2024,I’m looking forward to getting my book published, and all the adventures that will come with it. I’ve also been toying with the idea of possibly learning a digital art program this year. I’ve always created by hand, but wouldn’t mind giving technology a try!”

Her upcoming book “The Lost Spectacles, A Granny F***y Fairy Mystery” will be available in stores and online in Canada, the US, and globally, so stay tuned for release date details! This is a super sweet book that you won’t want to miss!

Christina Lena is the dynamic author of The Little Book of Red Flags for Single Ladies Volume 1 and has been a wonderful addition to our team. Her book hit best seller status the very first day it debuted and for good reason; her book outlines red flags that you should look out for if you’re hitting the dating scene and it combines great advice with a dash of humour! I’ve been at events where I’ve heard people say, “Where was this book 10 years ago?” and “Do you think we can leave this out on the coffee table for our daughter?” Let’s get to know Christina a little better!

When we asked her what inspires her to write/create or how she came up with this specific idea for her book, here’s what she said, “Experience in the modern dating game inspired me to share my tales as friends found them so humorous. Additionally, I hope to validate other women in their experiences and empower them to move beyond the bar that has been set so low.”

What do you love to do outside of writing? “My biggest passion is travel. When I’m not doing that I enjoy yoga, roller blading by the beach, playing soccer, trying new foods with family and friends, and podcasts.”

What do you hope for 2024? “Sincerely, my hope for 2024 is to get my book into as many hands as possible. I want to extend the reach and influence of the book, in order to both help and entertain other women.” This is a great goal and we’re working together on some new and exciting opportunities to do just that!

Be sure to follow Christina on social media because she gives such great advice, anecdotes, and stories from her own dating life and adventures(plus, her travel photos are nothing short of spectacular!). I know you’ll enjoy her content!

https://pandamoniumpublishing.wpcomstaging.com/.../meet.../
Alex Goubar is our lead illustrator at Pandamonium Publishing House and she’s been bringing her genius and creative talents to our company since she first came aboard as a student at Sheridan College during her co-op term. Let’s find out more about her!
Here are three children’s book titles that Alex has most recently worked on (although the list of total books she’s illustrated for us are countless!):
More Wishes by Tabatha D’Agata
James and The Bully by Dickson Adetuwo
and A Seagull’s Tale by Dan Lawrie
We asked Alex what inspires her to create and she said: “Illustrating, for me, is the ultimate form of self-expression and unleashing my inner creativity. I love creating worlds and creative problem solving!”
Outside of illustrating, Alex’s interests include: “I love horseback riding and working with horses, I enjoy camping and exploring, and especially video games and my rabbits!” (Fun fact: Did you know that Alex wrote and illustrated LongRun Stories New Beginnings with Maddison Greene, to benefit retired thoroughbred racehorses and that a portion of the proceeds from their book are donated to their ongoing care? How cool is that?!)
Her hope for 2024 is: “I would love to journal every day, and perhaps start my journey towards one day becoming some sort of art director.”
