🌍 Earth Day 🌍

We work quietly in the background, year-round, to operate with the environment in mind.

Some of the things we do with the environment in mind:

🌳: Invest in, and use battery-powered speakers and sound systems for your ceremony

🌳: Use business cards made from recycled t-shirt scraps that would otherwise be trashed

🌳: Carpool to events whenever possible to limit vehicle usage

🌳: Use new, energy efficient equipment like LED-based lighting for lower energy draws

🌳: Purchase equipment from nearby suppliers to limit transportation distances

🌳: Purchase from suppliers who have carbon offsetting programs to help reduce impact of orders

Planning a 2021 wedding or know someone who is? Check this post out for some helpful tips!

1️⃣ As we’ve all been experienced, things can change at a drop of a hat. Our first tip is to have a game plan for the current restrictions in your area, AND have a second plan for the restrictions that will *hopefully 😬🤞🏾* be in place on your wedding day.

2️⃣ The second tip is to share BOTH plans with everyone on your team of wedding professionals. Your florist, your caterer, your DJ or band, EVERYONE! They’re all creative professionals who can help you turn small touches into memorable moments simply by knowing your plans ahead of time. A signature cocktail or drink could be celebrated with the perfect song to match and announcement by the DJ. How epic would that video footage be of everyone taking a shot at the same time, set to an awesome song selection to compliment it (you’re welcome 😉)?

3️⃣ Our third tip for this post is to include guests virtually! Most folks probably won’t be able to celebrate with everyone they originally planned on having in-person. That doesn’t mean they can’t celebrate with you! Some ideas to explore include:
* Having folks make your signature cocktail at home
* Having folks strike a pose with a virtual photo booth that integrates with an in-person photo booth
* Have people get dressed up and post their pics using your wedding
* Stay tuned for more ideas 😉

Entertain your guests by thinking about lawn games! Lawn games are a great way to keep your guests busy and can be easily played 6 feet apart from folks not in the same household. There are lots of options that are great for all ages including: corn hole / bean bag toss, ring toss, or giant tic tac toe.

We’re big fans of outdoor weddings, and adding lawn games is a great way to make them more dynamic!

🏩🏩🏩 Maximize your guest list by thinking venues! What we’ve seen with varying restrictions, is that having your wedding at a commercial wedding venue allows you to have more guests than having it on private property. Many venues in the area have options for completely outdoor events!

🏠🏠🏠 Maximize your guest list by thinking about households! No awkward singles table here. With the restrictions we’ve seen that tables should be grouped by bubbles, or most recently, households. So when thinking about your guest list and your seating chart, think about couples and families so you can maximize the number of people per table.
