OC Publishing was established in 2016 by Anne Louise O'Connell, author & developmental editor.

I am an author, developmental book editor and partner publisher, happily writing away and teaching and mentoring other authors though the writing, publishing, and author platform development process. I am both traditionally and self-published and after years of researching and learning this ever-changing industry, and coaching several authors through the self-publishing process, I started OC Publi
shing in 2016. The partner publishing model I established is now better known as hybrid publishing, a cross between self and traditional publishing, which follows the same process as traditional publishing but is a fee for service model. We provide support to authors from story concept and plot development, through several phases of editing, followed by professional layout and design, and finally a published book. I also lead an annual writing retreat every October, so if you'd like to join the Paradise Writers' Retreat, email me and I'll send you more info ([email protected]).

So true! A very happy place :)
Most of our customers have told me at one point or another that Dartmouth Book Exchange is their happy place. Who can blame them? We are surrounded by books. Great condition paperbacks, hardcovers, and trade paperbacks. Teas inspired by classic literature. Even a collector’s edition a time or two. Book bundles, boxed sets, bookmarks, and canvas totes. A treasure trove for book lovers. Friendly customer service is always the utmost priority. It is a great place to visit, wander down aisles, or spend the afternoon on a rainy day. Attending our events is a guaranteed good time, with discussions about local books, their authors, and future projects.
What a fabulous interview with the brilliant, passionate and funny, Heather Hendrie, creator of the awfully hilarious series, in which I am a contributor :) I also worked closely with Heather on the publishing of her books and am so proud to see her doing such incredible work on promoting her message. Way to go Heather! https://holisticcounselingpodcast.com/podcasts-1/188-menstruationmenopause/

"An Ottawa setting in the sixties, a young lawyer named Mary Clark struggling for a niche in a male-dominated field, a rich businessman’s will contested by his two unscrupulous children, and a mysterious trunk: these are some of the ingredients of Honour Above All. Add to these a thoughtful exploration of what it means to have integrity, Mary’s suspense-ridden trial for fraud, a dash or two of romance, and you’re ready to put your feet up and turn to page one of Yvette MacDonald’s debut novel."
- Jill MacLean, award-winning author of The Arrows of Mercy
