Kootenay Music Awards The Kootenay Music Awards (KMAs) are an annual event that recognizes and promotes talented musicians Submissions close Sunday Feb 12th. Thank you and good luck.

Submissions are now open for all original works from the Kootenay Mountain Region recorded from May 24 2015 to Sunday 12 February 2017. You can submit your own work or if you are a fan of a local musician or band you can submit their works as well. Submission are to be via email to
[email protected]​ with a soundcloud link accompanied by the artist’s or bands name, address, image for

fb promotion, phone number and the category choice/choices they would like to submit for. The award categories are:
Artist of the Year
Album of the Year 2016
Best Breakthrough Artist
Best Music Video
Best Folk/Roots/Country Act
Best Rock/Punk/Metal Act
Best Electronic Producer
Song Of The Year 2016
