Our Story

The Chemainus Valley Courier publishes every Thursday, covering events in Chemainus, Crofton, Saltair, Westholme, Thetis Island and Penelakut Island.

The arts are a trademark of the area and that’s reflected in the paper with a wide range of arts and entertainment stories. It’s also the home to numerous active community organizations that go above and beyond the call of duty to raise funds for various causes while bringing people together for functions.

Check out the Weekly Events and Entertainment Schedule for up-to-date listings of community events each week.

Residents young and old are very active in sports and you can read about some of their achievements in feature stories.
