Our Story
Born in Halifax, NS and raised in the small town of Weymouth Falls, NS, Luke (DJ Rewind) Bishop began a career in music at the age of 16. He got his start by playing for his own school dances, weddings and also his legendary house parties. Rewind took part in many business ventures, but is most credited for the opening of Digby Nova Scotia's first youth oriented nightclub “Club Nations”.
Rewind began to work in The Halifax Club and mobile DJ Scene in 1995 Specializing in Hip-Hop, R&B, Old School and Dance. His "House Party" DJ Style has made him a favorite among Old School Hip-Hop & R&B fans.
Rewind has had the opportunity to open for artists such as Snoop Dogg and Spin at after parties for some true Rap Legends like Ice Cube, Obie Trice and Dub-C of Westside Connection!
Rewind has also worked along side many other music and entertainment organizations over the years including: CKDU 88.1FM, Z103.5, DAM Entertainment, GL Entertainment, Advanced Systems, Jayo Productions, East Coast Dynamics, and Universal Records Urban and Atlantic Pro Audio just to name a few. Rewind was also involved with East Coast Broadcasting in there efforts to launch Halifax’s first urban radio station by participating in the application and sitting in on the CRTC review board hearings.
