Meet Stephanie and Deidre, our new flippers for Hoarder House Flippers!

After a chance meeting, Stephanie and Deidre joined forces to start and build their company, Border City Living, in their hometown of Windsor, Ontario. After becoming award-winning, top-selling real estate agents, flipping homes was a natural progression. Together, they’ve combined their love of community with artful design to renovate and sell some of the most unique homes in Windsor.

Jon is a Producer here at Anaid. He works with the development team to come up with exciting new TV show ideas!

What does your typical day look like?
A combination of research, copywriting, graphic design, and post-production. I’m developing new series concepts, and also supporting the team in designing creative decks and cutting sizzle reels for projects they're developing as well.

Who is someone you admire in the industry?
As a former field camera operator, I admire how Nat Geo’s Bertie Gregory has evolved from shooter to producer/presenter, and how he draws viewers into the chaos behind capturing iconic images of nature and wildlife.

What has been your favourite project you have worked on?
My favourite projects are all confidential 😅

What is one thing you like about Anaid?
We prioritize the authentic human-interest side of every story, not the sensationalized.

Sam is a senior producer here at Anaid. He has over a decade of experience developing and producing documentaries and unscripted series for broadcasters and streaming services!

What does your typical day look like?
A typical day involves researching and developing new ideas, working on ones in the development pipeline, collaborating on projects with the rest of the team and connecting with broadcasters and streamers to pitch our projects.

Who is someone you admire in the industry?
I admire Tami Gabay, showrunner extraordinaire! She gives every ounce of herself to the projects she works on and is committed to making them the best they can possibly be.

What has been your favourite project you have worked on?
The number one rule in development is keep your cards close to the vest ;)

What is one thing you like about Anaid?
One of my favourite aspects of Anaid is the culture. Everyone really enjoys working together. Openness and collaboration is encouraged. There are no bad ideas if they are thoughtful.

September 30 is Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, a day to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools and for non-Indigenous people/settlers to acknowledge and reflect on the history and injustices of the past and present.

We at Anaid completed the online P.A.C.T. course, created by the Shine Network Institute. We encourage our industry colleagues to take the course!

🟠 🔴 The National Screen Institute and The Shine Network Institute have partnered to build PACT (Pledge – Activate – Cultivate – Thrive), an online certificate course designed to provide non-Indigenous stakeholders within the screen sector an Indigenous framed competency course to prepare them when working with Indigenous productions and content.

🔵 🟡 Funded by the Department for Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) - , our has a fixed purpose of improving outcomes for Indigenous people by creating safer, more culturally informed spaces and empowering non-Indigenous producers with the tools, resources and best practices that align with Indigenous values and ways of knowing.
