SUPER TYPHOON GORING CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN ITS STRENGTH AS IT APPROACHES THE NORTHWESTERN BOUNDARY OF THE PAR

The center of the eye was estimated based on all available data 185 km West of Itbayat, Batanes moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. It has a maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h.

In relentless quest to maintain peace and order, a wanted person was apprehended in Hapid, Lamut Ifugao ON aUGUST 23, 2023.

Joint Tracker team of Lamut MPS (lead unit), together with Ifugao PIU and 1501st MC RMFB arrested a 32-year-old, single, self-employed and resident of Hapid, Lamut, Ifugao. The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Aguinnaya Uyan Catiling of MCTC Second Judicial Region, Lamut-Kiangan-Tinoc- Asipulo Ifugao for Violation of 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚 315(1)(𝘽) 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚, 𝙖𝙨 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙉𝙊. 10951 and docketed under Criminal Case No. 2275 with a recommended bail of Php18, 000.00.

The accused was apprised of his constitutional rights during the arrest and brought to Lamut MPS for proper documentation prior to turnover to the issuing court. Two (2) Alternative recording devices (ARDs) were used during the arrest.

This serves as a clear warning that the PNP will continue to pursue wanted offenders to rid our communities of lawless elements. One criminal removed from the community provides our citizens with peace of mind. # # #

| Municipal officials of Mayoyao town approved an ordinance providing policies and guidelines for the control and management of the African Swine Fever (ASF) and other hog related diseases in the municipality.

This ordinance aims to prevent the negative economic impact and health hazard brought about by the ASF and other hog related diseases.

The local law stated that only locally raised pigs shall be sold within the municipality. Outside hog, meat sellers/buyers of purchase swine products shall not be allowed entry or to conduct their business in the municipality regardless if they are infected with ASF or not.

In case buying or selling of pigs and their products outside the municipality be inevitable, a certification issued by proper authorities from the place of origin shall be presented to the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG) stating that the pigs or their products are ASF – free.

Residents must report suspected ASF cases to the OMAG for testing/assessment. Barangays are mandated to create their own hog raiser association to further strengthen the implementation of the ordinance.

All stakeholders in the municipality are enjoined to strictly adhere to the guidelines stated in the ordinance to avoid the corresponding penalties like the payment of P2,500.00 for the first and succeeding offenses.

The OMAG, Municipal Police Station , representatives from barangay officials and other law enforcerment office will spearhead a 24-hour checkpoint from the borders of the municipality.

GORING CONTINUES TO INTENSIFY WHILE MOVING SOUTH SOUTHWESTWARD

The center of Tropical Storm GORING was estimated based on all available data at 225 km East Southeast of Basco, Batanes or 270 km East of Calayan, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h moving South Southwestward slowly.

No Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal raised over CAR.

GORING is forecast to move south southwestward or southward over the waters east of Northern Luzon until tomorrow evening, then turn generally south or southeastward for the rest of tomorrow through Sunday afternoon. Afterwards, the tropical cyclone will loop northward before turning to the northwest on Tuesday towards Luzon Strait. For the most of the forecast period, GORING is forecast to move slowly.

Due to highly favorable environment, GORING is forecast to rapidly intensify and may reach typhoon category by tomorrow. It may reach its peak intensity on Sunday evening, after which it is forecast to maintain strength until the end of the forecast period. The potential for developing into a super typhoon is not ruled out.

Joint Tracker team of Lamut MPS (lead unit), together with Ifugao PIU and 1501st MC RMFB arrested a 55-year-old, married, teacher by profession, Roman Catholic by faith, and a resident of Poblacion West, Lamut, Ifugao. The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Romeo U. Habbiling of RTC Branch 14, Lagawe Ifugao for Violation of 𝙍𝘼7832 𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙞-𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙛𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨/𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 1994 and docketed under Criminal Case No. 3427 with a recommended bail of Seventy-Two Thousand Pesos (PhP 72, 000.00).

The accused was apprised of her constitutional rights during the arrest and brought to Lamut MPS for proper documentation prior to turnover to the issuing court. Two (2) Alternative recording devices (ARDs) were used during the arrest.

This serves as a clear warning that the PNP will continue to pursue wanted offenders to rid our communities of lawless elements. One criminal removed from the community provides our citizens with peace of mind. # # #

In relentless and intensified Anti-Illegal Gambling operation, joint elements of the Lamut MPS (lead unit), together with the 1501st MC RMFB 15 and the Ifugao PIU arrested a 74-years-old and a person with disability for violation of 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚 1602 𝘼𝙎 𝘼𝙈𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙀𝘿 𝘽𝙔 𝙍𝘼 9287 (𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙆𝙄𝙀𝙎) at Payawan, Lamut, Ifugao on August 24, 2023.

The suspect was caught in the act of illegally collecting bet money from the undercover operative/poseur bettor. Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were as follows:
a. One (1) piece 100 pesos Philippine Currency (bet money);
b. One (1) black ball pen;
c. One (1) Booklet PCSO Small Town Lottery Collection Report Form (Lastillas);
d. Betting Result; and
e. Clash of Clans Identification as Sales Representative.

Inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Zaldy Licawan. The arrested suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights during the arrest and was brought to Lamut MPS together with the confiscated pieces of evidence for documentation prior to filing of appropriate charges. Two (2) Alternative Recording Devices (ARDs) were used during the arrest. # # #
