Legit question...primarily directed at my many American friends. The Democrats have given Republicans an incredible opportunity to rid themselves of Donald Trump once and for all. At this point, Kamala Harris has all the momentum. Why wouldn't GOP supporters take this chance to take back their party...and by either not voting or by voting for Harris... DUMP TRUMP for good? Would seem to me that by voting for Trump, you are risking the total destruction of a once proud and respected Republican Party.

23/04/2020

Hi, Peter Olsen from the X-Team. We haven't fogotten about you and it's hard to believe that it's been over a month since we last chatted on-air on our Wednesday morning show on the X. While part of me wanted to believe that this excursion into the Twilight Zone would be over by now, we all knew it wouldn't be.
It looks like we're going to have to tough it out for a good while longer and that means our little studio will not be hosting our show anytime soon, due to the fact that the hosts and guests are basically sitting in each other's laps...a scary vision, I admit. Kudos to the some of the other hosts, who have been recording their programs at home and uploading for airing every week. Unfortunately, that's nearly impossible with 4 co-hosts and a show that's not music-driven, but guest-oriented.
We all hope to be back soon.
While there's some nasty and vitriolic chatter on social media, with everybody being an armchair epidemiologist and sociologist, voicing strong opinions on the pandemic and others, I'm delighted by the creativity and observational humour I'm seeing with many of the posts.
Rather than fret about being locked down in isolation, let's take this time to get re-aquainted with that lovely woman, whose been sitting on the other end of the couch all these years...that's your wife and perhaps re-evaluate what's really important in life; such as; you've been drinking the wrong kind of Scotch all your life.
Seriously, take care and take time.
On behalf of Bob Price, the Bear, Katie Neustaeter and me, we'll be talking your ear off soon enough.
Cheers

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE X-TEAM
Hi, it's Peter Olsen of the X-Team. As you no doubt know, many businesses have curtailed operations, in light of the quickly spreading coronavirus and people have been told to socially distance themselves. This move has affected most walks of life, including educational facilities such as TRU. As a result, the Board of CFBX has decided to curtail all "live" programming until further notice and operate the radio station on full automation.
Due to this decision, our show, which airs Wednesday mornings from 7-9 am, has also been affected. It's the right thing to do, in light of the rapid spread of COVID-19.
Please be safe and stay calm and the X-Team hopes to be back on the air soon.

Over the past few days, thousands of Canadians have been doing their part of social distancing to help against the COVID-19 pandemic, but are feeling lonely being isolated from their friends. Netflix and Google Chrome to the rescue
“Netflix Party,” a Google Chrome extension, lets you and your friends watch Netflix at the same time – and chat while you’re at it. Once one person picks something to watch on Netflix, they can send an “invite” link to friends to join in on the fun wherever they are. The extension also lets you share your thoughts – and memes – in real time with a chat feature.

Check out the free extension here
You need the Google Chrome browser in order to use.

Indeed that is the case right now with the COVID-19 virus plaguing the planet, affecting both health and world economies. While most people who contract the virus will experience mild symptoms, it is a much more serious threat for the elderly.
